Cool place in a great part of the city

Went for lunch, food was great and the service was good. The menu has alot of nice options, half price sandwiches when we were there, cant go wrong.

Bar food and smoking on the patio

So bizarre to me that they allow smoking on the patio while you’re eating your food. Pizza bites were cold and the buffalo wrap was also cold. Typical bar food and nothing special about this place.

Great sports bar

Stopped in before a clippers game. This is a hockey bar complete with a penalty box. Great Thursday happy hour drinks and food specials. Nice patio and clean bathrooms. Excellent location in the heart of the arena district.

Disappointed in wings for a sports/hockey bar

Staff took a while to take our food order, wasn’t sure if the kitchen was open but would be nice to know if the kitchen has a delayed opening. Wings are smaller than average but priced more expensive than market. Almost 11 dollars for 6 (half size) and tasted cheap like little Caesar’s wingsand skimped on the hot buffalo sauce. But the barbecue wings sauce was good. Added ketchup container for perspective.

One of my favorite sports bars! I come here when I’m in Columbus and I love it. It’s a great sports bar with lots of TV’s and lots of beer on tap. Their big beer here is Labatt Blue witch I love! They have a great pizza and their wing are ver good. Normally I have great service, tonight was just ok but I think she was new. The place bleeds hockey so I would imagine it’s a great place to watch a game (I always have to get up early). If your in the arena district I would highly recommend it!

Great pre-game bar

Some of the best chicken wings we have ever had!! Fun place to gather before the hockey game, packed with fans from both sides. It is not very large however, so go as early as possible to grab a seat or you will end up standing. Seemed to be the most popular spot post-game, at least for hockey. Visiting from Canada, and would return, Go Leafs Go!

Great sports bar!

We were in town for a Blue Jackets game and had to stop into the R Bar! Great little place to hang out and watch a game. Great food, loved the nachos, pretzels and pizza bites. Good beer selection and reasonable prices. Service was awesome!

Friendly, good pizza

Went on a Tuesday night, not much happening, so we were treated promptly and well. We all ordered pizza which was pretty good. They have outside eating area, plenty of TV's, good selection of beer

Great Meeting Place

Went here several times during my visit to Columbus. The atmosphere was great the first night, and there was a lively crowd; the second night we sat out on the patio but the place was not busy; hence, service was great. I understand that during hockey season, this is THE pre and post-war game place to be.

Hockey joint

Cool sports themed atmosphere. We visited on a non hockey Monday night so it was pretty dead. Bartender was really friendly. Beer was not very cold. We had a 100 oz. tower and it doesn’t come with a cold filter, ice floater, etc. bartender did her best by filling a plastic glove with ice and dropping it in. It helped a bit and we appreciate the effort!

Great Quick Food!

Went here for a quick dinner and drinks. Was impressed with the ambiance and the happy hour specials. Give this place a try! Unique in a very good way!

Hockey Bar - management unaware

Was there for game 7, Washington vs Tampa. It's a hockey bar, and manager scheduled one waitress, one bartender. Place was packed with close to 200 people. The two staff members did a great job, considering the situation.

Nice place to visit before a game

We visited the R Bar before an NCAA women’s final four game. The bar was a gathering spot for Notre Dame fans and although we are not ND fans it was fun. They had a lady playing Irish dance songs on a violin. The food was good but they were a little understaffed for the crowd so service was slow. We had nachos and potato skins and they were ok, but not too special. It looks like a great place to go before a Blue Jackets game and is located just steps from Nationwide Arena. If the ‘Jackets were out of town you would be sure to find fellow fans there watching the game.

Sports Bar

We were looking for a bar with lots of tv's so we could watch a March Madness game and hockey. This was perfect. It was a Friday night and they weren't that busy, which was great. I ordered a beer, which during happy hour is $4. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap too. It was good. Will definitely be back.

Good, not Great, Sports Bar

This place comes close to being what every sports bar should strive for... but falls more than a little short in the service department. It's got the right feel, with plenty of TVs and sports memorabilia, although it's a little small and I can imagine it might get over-crowded right before (and during) a game. The bar situation is fantastic and the bar stools are comfortable, if you can find a spot. We opted to only have some drinks, which were certainly adequate and reasonably priced. They've got all the usuals, plus some local brews. The problem was the indifferent, unconcerned service. Not rude by any stretch, but just... apathetic.
