My brother introduced me to this restaurant. I have now been there twice in one week. I have lived in China for many years and can say they few items I have tried are great! The service is good but the noodles are fantastic. The noodles are hand made! We also had the dumplings and I would say they are the best I have had at a Chinese place in America. We will definitely be going back and taking friends with us

Very authentic food. Their Pad Thai is different than any other restaurant I have tried it in and I just love it. Their soups are so wonderful on a cold winter's day with either hand made stretched noodles or a ramen type of noodle. I just tried two new dishes. Their Bang Bang Noodles which I loved and a fantastic pork dish my husband was very pleased with. The staff are friendly and very helpful to newcomers needing advice on food choices.

Last weekend I visited my daughter and her husband; as usual we would pick a restaurant that we had never been for a family dining-out. While there are a few that we haven't tried my daughter suggested Jiu Thai which she had been there once. The restaurant located in an area of commercial strip mall with easy access store front parking. It has moderate decors, clean and services are good. Our orders came fairly quick and hot out of kitchen. Our servers were very courteous and efficient. It was Saturday night so tables were pretty much occupied but they seated us soon after a party left. Menu items are mainly cuisines of Northern China. We had lamb dumplings which I knew were hand made by the shapes that were formed. We also tried out their signature noodles that made by hand stretching dough which again I could voucher for that because the shapes of noodles are not like those of machine cuts. We tried beef stretched noodles in soup and biang biang noodles in spices seasoned sauce. The flavors of sauce are well balanced and soup has touch of hot oil but not greasy and sliced cooked beef was tender to the bite. We order two main dishes-one was Szechuan Yuxiang Pork and the other was lamb ribs with spices. Both dishes were very tasty and had very good wok heat seared flavors. Each menu item was modestly priced and we were very pleased with every dish the kitchen chefs made for us. So, if you are looking for an eatery with authentic Norther China cuisines this would be the one you want to try. We will certainly visit it again and try other menu items. Restaurant opens from 11am to 9pm, Sunday till 8:30pm; closed Tuesday.

I have eaten at this restaurant at least twice. The Biang Biang Noodles were great, but I'll never go back and wouldn't recommend them due to the extremely poor service. When I placed my order they told me it was be and extra $1.50 since I wanted tofu. I pointed out that as far as I knew I'd never been charged extra. Now the $1.50 is no big deal. I was their attitude that lost them two customers, and resulted in a poor recommendation. There was nothing on the menu about a surcharge for tofu. A professional would have made sure that all information was on the menu. In my personal opinion they weren't exactly honest. While I had to pay $2 for my ice tea, it cost the owner much more because I didn't have cash. It cost the restaurant more than $2. to process my charge.

I have never been to China so I have no idea if it's authentic Chinese food. However, I can say that their Biang Biang noodles is a wonderfully satisfying meal. The food is in a class of its own in Columbus.

Our first time here. We had no idea what to order. The waitress Amy, was extremely helpful. I had Biang Biang Noodles. House made noodles with beef in a broth. It was yummy! My husband had Yiuang pork. It was really good too! We will definitely be back to try other selections. The service was excellent!

This is not Thai food, it's authentic Northenr Chinese. And it's good! Get the cold noodle or biang biang noodles. Spicy and very authentic. They also have Americanized Chinese food on the menu but the noodles are a must

I wish we had discovered this authentic Chinese restaurant before. We went with a large group of friends and we got to taste several dishes. The chicken skewers and spicy peanuts were my favorite appetizers. We also tried the hand stretched noodles with lamb, the eggplant dish, and diving chicken! They were all delicious and different. I loved the diving chicken the best!

When we were new to Cbus, we visited here and ate in. The service was good, as was the food. The other night we wanted carry out chinese food and our go-to place was closed so we decided to try Jiu Thai. I had the General Tso's which was delicious and the chicken was good. My kids had the sesame chicken and also enjoyed it. The vegetables with it were done just right. Based upon reviews, we also tried the pork cake and it was delicious as well. I would definitely return!

Biang-biang noodle is my favorite. The skewer of squid and lamb is very delicious too. 凉皮(cold jelly noodle, not sure this is the correct English name for it)is good too.

While technically still in Columbus this certainly isnt downtown. That works well for us most nights and this is a great location. Plenty of parking, make a side trip to CAM (Columbus Asian Market) across the strip mall. This place has lots of "beer drinking food" so little skewers of meat - think Chinese tapas - and yummy sichuan peppercorn food. Tryt he fish in hot oil - don't be afraid of the title - it's just a little oil on the top but it's a soup/stew from northern china that is very unique. If you drink water after eating numbing spice it can make the water taste sweet so don't be freaked out if your food tastes different. It helps you to eat the spicy food without burning your tongue.

This restaurant was recently reviewed in our local paper and since it's fairly close to our house we decided to check it out. On a Friday night it was full but not overcrowded. We were greeted and seated quickly. It's always a good sign when most of the patrons a restaurant are of the same (or related) ethnicity. I ordered a dumpling main course (pork with pickled cabbage steamed dumpling) and an appetizer (delicious pork sandwich). In case you're wondering, Northern Chinese cuisine does include sandwiches. My husband just ordered a main course, Yuxiang pork. The food was a bit slow in arriving but our waitress explained that just before we arrived, a very large party at the next table had ordered, and that had backed up the kitchen. We weren't in a rush so it wasn't a big deal. All of the food was delicious (as the pork sandwich promised.) Spicy food is marked with one or two peppers. The Yuxiang pork had one pepper, and was actually not that spicy, but quite flavorful. We'll be back to visit this location again soon.

Went here on a a sunday with my girlfriend and it was pretty busy... we were already having a late lunch around 3pm and the place was still hopping!! There were certainly many Asian students, as well as young families, so it must be pretty legit! We tried many many things: some bbq skewers, the cold noodles, the cucumber salad, potstickers, steamed dumplings, the pork cake, the vegetable delight dish, the lamb noodles (forgot the name... maybe it's something like bian diang noodles??)... I'm not a super big fan on spicy foods because I like to taste and still have feelings in my mouth while I eat. This spiciness looks a lot more intimidating that than it really is for the two noodles dishes, however I still had to stop and drink water Manu times, blow my nose a few times, and eventually eat something else. The flavor was still very good though, and I recommend people to try it if you are adventurous and want yo try more authentic chinese. Which by the way, why are the glasses so small and tiny? It only makes for more trips for the servers to give you any beverage, which doesn't make any sense to me in a restaurant that serves spicy foods!! Anyway, the steamed dumplings were tremendous. An order gives you plenty so it's a good amount to share with 2 ppl if you aren't eating anything else. The potstickers were one of my favorites because they do them right and don't just fry the dumpling till it's just a solid little brick; pan fried crispy on one side and the skin of the dumpling is still moist and sound what bouncy (when you bite on it..) and not the texture of leather. The thickness if the skin was also just right for both dunolings, which is always a great sign that they are fooling around and trying to jib you out of some meat or the other goodies. The inside goodies also had great flavor and the vinegar was a great compliment to it. Wished they would make some Xiao loong bao's (小籠包)cuz their dumpling skills are superb!! The cucumber salad was very good, we asked to remove the cilantro as it is sometimes overwhelming. The vegetable delight was one of my favorites, as I love veggies and they do them perfect and it seems healthy. Sautéed bok choy, mayb ed some Napa in a light white sauce served on top of rice... yummy!! The pork cake was good, with the toasted sesame packet like buns.. though it tasted like lamb to me, and I would rather do something else with those buns cuz I think we're usually are served with a more ground beef texture kind of meat... What we didn't like was the bbq skewers. We ordered a few kinds: sausage, squid legs, and beef. They are perfect to share, though we difn th care for them because they were dry, tough (like leather), and heavily covered in cumin and another spice; and I mean HEAVILY. I would have tried lemon juice or something to offset the taste, however it was sooo over cooked and dry that I just didn't even bother. Well,,we tried it... just not our cup of tea. In general great plates, great flavor, good authentic Northern Chinese food :)

Was not familiar with this style of Chinese cuisine. Giant biang noodles are great. Served with dark vinegar in a bowl. They are large flat noodles and are served baby bok choy. also very good is the cold cucumber and assorted meat skewers.
