G Michael's Bistro provided the perfect backdrop for the family Christmas dinner. The environment was festive, the food was very good & the service was excellent. Definitely a nice addition to the neighborhood.

The restaurant is tucked into the beautiful German Village neighborhood. Small restaurant with great customer service. Must try while visiting is the bacon tomato soup and the Buttermilk Fried chicken!!! Be careful on ordering extras because the friend who was with us ordered an extra biscuit and it cost him $5 for 1!

Charming place in German Village. Brick decor. Perfect for dates & couples. Very flavorful menu. Bacon Tomato Soup & Gerber Fried Chicken highly recommended. Would have been 5 star if not for a tad pricey for Columbus.

This is just my favorite dining experience in Columbus. After moving to Charleston in August, I returned to hear my wife sing her last Holiday Pops. We had dinner between the performances with dear friends. I can better appreciate the southern influence in David's culinary skill. For starters, we had a dozen oysters - could truly taste and utterly enjoy... More

Celebrating a special occasion last evening we tried this venue located in a charming part of the City. Upon entering we saw the quaint bar area and told the Host at the Stand we would like to get a drink before our dinner reservation. I am a top reviewer and in all the places all over the world I have... More

This is a great place to meet friends and enjoy cocktails and a lovely meal. Service was outstanding! Most of our food choices were also outstanding, particularly the calamari and the Brussels sprouts appetizers. Both were incredibly flavorful and generous enough for sharing. The roasted cauliflower salad was also delicious. For the entrees, the braised lamb neck served over potatoes... More

Four of us enjoyed dinner here on a Monday night. We each had a small plate at happy hour along with wine and each couple shared a fixed price dinner. We enjoyed the gumbo and shrimp and grits small plates. The pork chop and trout dinners were good and the Cream brûlée for dessert was excellent. The waitress was very... More

After wandering through the book store a block away in German Village, we were feeling a little peckish and decided to try G Michael's. The Shrimp & Grits with Andouille were awesome! We shared the fried chicken plate, which had cheese biscuits and green beans cooked right - everything was fresh and nicely presented! The chicken was moist and tender,... More

My wife and I drove 40 min's to try GMichaels in German Village, an area we enjoy. We are reasonable people and dont write reviews although we were disappointed with this choice. Good bar area, excell wine list and surrounds but having lived in the south for 30 years ie. Charleston, SC and the shrimp and grits looked like a... More

Everyone raves about this restaurant, but we don't. The menu is quite limiting. There are a lot of pork dishes on the menu. Not great if you don't eat pork. Chicken could not be grilled as it already had a buttermilk coating. Shrimp was on menu but could not be made in another form. We wanted to go 2 weeks... More
