Had time for a leisurely lunch today so we stopped at Katzinger's Delicatessen. We had two smaller kids who are usually the hardest to please and they both enjoyed their sandwiches of soft salmi and a roast beef. With them out of the way I had number 9 hot pastrami with hot mustard and red onions on rye. My friends... More

Had heard/read much about Katzinger's. Finally got a chance to go this past weekend. Menu advertises hot corned beef & pastrami. Both of these are very thinly cut (think not hand cut/homemade) and not full of flavor. Chopped chicken liver just ok. If you've been fortunate enough to get to Katz's in NYC, Canter's or Langer's in LA, you'll find... More

This deli has the best Reuben I've had. The pile high sandwich is too much for one person to comfortably handle but I put a good dent in it. I ordered a fudgie brownie and it was superb. I've been to many delicatessens in New York and New Jersey and found this one every bit their equal. Highly recommend.

Katzinger's deli has been a well known favorite for decades in Columbus. Presidents have eaten there! I went back for lunch today for the first time in probably 15 years. They have two barrels of pickles. One dill, one garlic. It’s a take all you want but eat what you take policy. I love pickles! One of my favorite restaurants... More

We split a large corned beef sandwich which was plenty for two. Corned beef was very lean and rye bread was fresh. Potato salad side was very good. They have a selection of over 60 sandwiches, too many to try all of them but will go back to try Reuben. The pickles are "free", you pick them out of a... More

This place is a gem! My friend and I split a large Reuben and I love their free pickles! The breads are fantastic and the menu is quite large.

Enjoyed our sammiches today. The garlic pickles were also a treat. The atmosphere was clean, peaceful and welcoming. German Village was a cool piece of Columbus to visit.

If you like overstuffed meat sandwiches on the best bread them Katzingers"s Deli is for you. Very tradition deli atmosphere. Always busy! My favorite is their corned beef.

Food was ok but for 15 dollars a sandwich I'm kinda wanting something with more substance to it. Not even close to best pastrami I've ever had diamond deli in Akron has better. Place was nice on inside very clean to make two sandwiches with no one in there took 30 minutes, I'd hate to see a rush hour. Staff... More

We have a number of places that we take our clients out for lunch, but definitely among the most popular is Katzinger's. It's a Jewish Deli with a huge menu and something for everyone. They offer top cut meat on premium breads. My favorite is #59 Bill Clinton's special: Corned Beef with spicy mustard and swiss on pumpernickel. They also... More

Description
Katzinger's Delicatessen - Family owned and operated since 1984!
Our sandwiches are really big - HUGE in fact. We know some of you can't eat that much so we also offer a smaller sandwich - we refer to it as Normal. All sandwiches come with a free help-yourself-from-the-pickle-barrel dill. Choose from traditional "old" or garlicky "new". And we offer plenty of freshly prepared-to-order salads and desserts to tempt you, too. You should leave Katzinger's wanting to come back again - and soon!

We're very proud of our food - Black Angus corned beef prepared by Sy Ginsburg's United Meat and Deli using Sy's special secret ingredient ( many, many tons later and he still won't tell us what it is!)...Chickens raised by Amish families at Gerber Farms... Imported Emmentaler, the original Swiss cheese... Breads made especially for us and delivered daily by Mediterra Bakehouse in Pittsburgh and we hand slice every loaf... Bagels from Sammy's delivered fresh daily... Gluten free bread from Eban bakery of Grove City . Our mayo is Hellmann's. We oven roast our turkeys to moist perfection. We dress our roast beef with lots of garlic and rosemary and roast it to a beautifully pink medium rare. We marinate our brisket for 48 hours before slow roasting to fork tenderness. Our chicken, tuna and egg salads are made with memorable recipes. These are just a few of the fine ingredients we use to create the deli foods of Katzinger's Delicatissen.
