This place is tiny but sooo delicious! The people running the restaurant are THE nicest. So much fun to go in this place and talk about what you want to order or what’s special that day. A place to visit for any reason but especially...the service.More

We spend several months of the year in Nova Scotia and know the importance of super-fresh seafood. After a few visits, Frank's has probably become our fishmonger when we're in Ohio. Twice now we've asked about the freshest fish in the house and both times...the recommendation has been spot on. That included nice-sized fillets of Florida tile fish that made for a terrific Christmas meal. Because of the quality of its products, whatever you get will be well worth the price. It won't break you but don't expect a bargain either. And the advice you'll get? Take it to the bank. My only quibble – and I realize this is a judgment call – is with the Chesapeake Bay oysters. Though stunningly fresh, meaty and a breeze to shuck, I found them overly mild. Some people may find that perfectly acceptable but I've come to appreciate bivalves with a higher saltiness.More

In town on business, found this hidden gem slightly off the beaten path on Trip Advisor. Stopped here mid afternoon after meetings all morning heading back to my hotel; I was starving but only got the calamari and Gumbo soup. I’d come here a lot...of I were local. Very small but cool atmosphere. Kim (I think that’s her name) took my order and was a sweetheart. Even let me sample the different soups because I was undecided. Of course, I can’t take seafood with me on my plane but the selection on the store side looked delicious.More

Looks like a dive, but the food in the cafe is THE BEST! We've eaten here several times and carried out orders to bring home. Always excellent! The only negative I can come up with is they need more seating in their dining area. Not...inexpensive, but worth the price.More

We've been buying our fresh fish and shellfish here for several years (amazingly fresh) but today was the first time we ever ate there, and it won't be the last. To find fish this fresh in Ohio is a revelation! No more grocery store fish...for us. My wife had the cod sandwich and a bowl of gumbo and I had the ocean perch platter. Not only is the fish so fresh and lightly breaded, the fresh-cut french fries on the side are some of the best I've ever had. I wonder if they bottle the tartar sauce, because it's delicious too. Add to that the gumbo and the coleslaw. It's not cheap, but no great seafood is, especially this far from the coast. The sandwich & fries, plus the platter with coleslaw and fries, plus the gumbo and two soft drinks came to $31. There are only about 10 seats in the small room attached to the market where you place your order, but eight tables on the outdoor patio have umbrellas and very comfortable chairs. Service is friendly and charming. A one-of-a-kind gem in central Ohio.More

Found Franks on here and decided to try it. So glad I did. The last 2x I had fish this good was on the UP and Oregon coast. Excellent service too! It is tough to find good fish but this place nailed it. They also...have a Fish market if you prefer to cook it yourself. Great selection!More

Even though I wrote a review of this little place last year, I wanted to write again because it is so amazing. I want to especially recognize the people who remembered us from 6 months ago. Our sandwiches to-go were a delightful treat when we...arrived home. I got the walleye sandwich and my guy got the catfish. SO yummy!! If you see that the tables are full, get your fish to go. It is well worth the road trip back home to have this delicious sandwich!! Thank you Kim for your hard work and for being so nice to all your customers! We will be back!More

Da wife and I stopped in for the first time for lunch on a Saturday. This place is, first and foremost, a fresh fish/seafood market. And it’s a wonderful market! Stocked with all kinds of fish in two counters and bins covered in ice. Surprisingly...it doesn’t smell like fish! I know a lot of markets that practically smack you in the nose when you walk in. Nor do you smell frying fish in the kitchen area. They must have an incredible cleaning regime! They also have a small wine “cellar”. Off to the side is a small kitchen for carry out orders. BUT they have two small tables and a couple small counters that can sit about 10 people. There was a line but we were able to snag the small 2 seat table. Most of them where there for carry out. We started out with the lobster bisque. Extremely tasty! So thick it was more of lobster chowder! They gave us soft pita slices with it that had our first taste of their spices on it. YUM! I asked what the spice was but it’s their own secret. Crud! Da wife got the shrimp po’ boy sandwich which she loved. Toasted bun, huge shrimp, great sauce and perfectly spiced. I got the fish and fries. My perfectly fried and seasoned perch had a great light crust and juicy flaky fish. I loved their tarter sauce but didn’t want to distract from the flavor of the fish! Their fries were very good also. Only thing I didn’t absolutely love was the slaw. There was a bit of a wait which was very reasonable given that everything is made absolutely fresh for your order. The people working there were just as much a draw as the food. I counted at least 5 in the cramped kitchen and serving the small dining area. They were all happy and great fun to talk to. I love when folk aren’t afraid about giving recommendations (I’m going to try the whole snapper next time). I think they’re all family members too. One pointed out the picture of their last “all you can eat” Sunday. They put up a tent outside and draw a couple hundred people! We’ll have to try that this summer. Lunch for two, made completely fresh and with enough perch for me to have for another meal clocked in at $40. Very reasonable.More

We went first to the market for lunch before buying our fresh seafood in the next room. I had the walleye sandwich and my guy had the salmon BLT. They were both made to order and the short wait was well worth it! We loved...our sandwiches. We also loved chatting with Kim all about her wonderful recipes and the plans she has for new items in January. We will return soon!More
