The food is delicious at this cozy, laid-back restaurant. You must definitely go with a group of people so that you can order the combination platters and share all the tasty dishes that are bursting with unique flavors. I look forward to returning to this gem of a place.

This is our favorite place to eat in Cleveland. The authentic flavors like melt in your mouth. The enjera is sooo pillowy. I recommend getting the samosas for an appetizer. But I do have to say if you don't like spicy food then there aren't many options for you here. The staff is very nice here and restaurant is clean overall.

We live about an hour South of the Cleveland area, and finally made the trip to eat at Zoma today. We were so pleased with our experience that we will certainly return for more. The food was excellent, our service great. We've heard that it gets crowded in the evenings, and we certainly can understand this. Great vegetarian selections, and even "vegan Wednesdays." Looking forward to our next visit.

waste your time food was so bland and tasteless not worth the money and man who was working in the Conter acted like he didn't want to be there. when we went to pick up the order man said to us i waited for you all we got there at 2:00 pm posted hours were 2:30 pm. i had Ethiopian food elsewhere that taste so great this was the worse. i try to say hello to the women that was behind the counter and she was so rude. in America we say hello to the customers when they spend money on their business. we will never return.

The Ethiopian sampler plate featured 11 different selections. Four selections were flavorable and more spicy, and seven selections were very flavorable and tasty. This was my first experience dining at an Ethiopian Restaurant so the flat spongy light bread is torn into a piece to pick up any of the 11 selections on the platter. The restaurant provided extra flat bread, extra chicken scoop, complimentary Ethiopian coffee, and their home made baklava. The baby was also well attended also. The staff and service was impeccable! See photo of the sampler platter.

We've been here, and to Empress Taytu restaurant, several times. This comes out on top. Taytu has a better decor and ambiance, but we have outgrown the desire to eat in a good ambiance, so we like Zoma better. Way shorter wait time, tasty as hell food. The only downside is thats its not the least expensive place. But now I am comparing it to Columbus' Lalibela restaurant.

I met a date at this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon in April. He is vegan, I am not, however we were able to get an appetizer, a pot of Ethiopian coffee, extra injeera, and a large plate with four veggie options that satisfied both our love for healthy food and interesting flavor combinations. I will definitely go back. My favorite veggie dish was the cabbage and carrot.

Came here for lunch. Service was very helpful. The food itself was delicious. Best Ethiopian food I've had anywhere--and just excellent compared to other cuisines as well.

We’d all run 20 miles in the freezing cold that day and arrived starving. The big combo platter did not disappoint. We added an extra lamb curry to the order and a bottle of red wine. The wine list is limited but what we got for $22 was good. Lots of vegetables and tasty curries and stews, all eaten with your hands. The on,y negative was that it took a few days to get the restaurant smell our of clothes and hands.

We had dinner here twice, both time the staffs are helpful and efficient. I especially like the fact that their injera comes with not only the usual variety made from wheat, common in the restaurants in US, but also the ones made from teff, the key indigenous Ethiopian grain. (Ask for the "gluten free" injera for the teff ones!) The beef and the collar green dishes are both flavorful and not so heavy. To top it off, the square meals for two, with plenty of leftovers, cost barely over 40 dollar. We would certainly come back with friends in tow.

Eight of us went in a reservation and they were ready and attentive. We ordered two mixed veggie/neat platters and Firfir. We all ate as much as we wanted and still took 4 boxes of food home! Great service. Good coffee. Reasonable prices. Not fancy just comfortable and delicious at the same time. Parked for free on the street in the evening. Cute little area.

I think this is my first time trying Ethiopian food but will definitely try again. It was quite far from where I was staying at but was highly recommended so I had to go and try. I had the beef stew and it came with this flat pancake-like bread. It was very flavorful. The side (don’t remember the name) was very good but spicy for my taste. It was tomatoes and other veggies. I had a hard time finding the place because their sign was not so good. Would like to visit again but with family or friends.

We ate the "traditional" way: with large pancake-type flatbreads in the middle, piles of stews on top, and mini flatbreads to scoop up the food. If we wanted, we could have eaten with forks and plates, but the experience we had was shared, fun and hard to find around here. The food was truly delicious. The appetizers were among our favorites, but everything was tasty. No frills and comfortable place.

Stopped by yesterday for lunch after visiting Cleveland Clinic. My husband and I shared a combo plate. I loved the cabbage dish as well as the red lentil. My husband loved the beef stew. All very good. The owner made us a pot of Ethiopian coffee. A bit strong for me but really flavorful. Comfortable atmosphere, great food, kind and helpful owner. Highly recommend!

I REALLY love the food and the service is great as well! As a vegan going out can be very challenging... Zoma took all that away with their veggie only platter and gluten free options!!! We went once for lunch last month and I returned a few weeks later to celebrate my birthday! A must try... enjoy!
