The food here was very good and they also have great service. My husband and I enjoyed cocktails and I ordered the penne lobster dish and my husband got a filet with blue crab. Both dishes were delightful. We split a cheesecake for dessert which...was also greatMore

Blue Point Grille gets it's high ratings for a reason, it's a wonderful place to enjoy some great seafood. As an oyster fan, the sampler was perfect, followed by 8 more of my two favorite. I is also a nice change from the oyster house...in Toronto to have white table cloths and waiters with ties on... a touch of class!More

Over the years we have had wonderful experiences at this restaurant. In fact, it is a favorite. Very good food, lovely atmosphere & excellent service. But during our last visit, we noticed a price increase - fish entrees were $47. and $49. We were fine...with this because both were delicious. However, we were surprised to see a 20% service charge added to our bill. This is not a tip for the server. We think it is much too high and wonder if this is even legal. Just a warning to all. We only saw a small sign on our way out the door about this fee.More

As visitors to Cleveland with just one restaurant to choose I wanted to make a good choice and Blue Point Grill did not disappoint. The overwhelmingly positive reviews on Trip Advisor were the basis of my decision to dine here and I won’t have much...to add to the other reviews. Nevertheless here goes. My wife and I were most impressed by the fantastic service which was complemented by excellent food and the lively atmosphere. As the menu offers many choices, I asked our server her recommendations and was glad I did as each of her picks were great. We shared a lobster bisque which was rich and delicious with the serving coming in two smaller bowls. We also shared the crab cake appetizer which was loaded with crab and an extra plate was provided without asking. The grouper with lobster mashed potatoes and spinach was cooked to a perfect texture, firm and not dry, while the mashed potatoes were very tasty with lobster mixed into it. My Blue Point Heaven provided a good sample of lobster, shrimp, and scallops plus the lobster mashed potatoes and asparagus. Again the seafood was well prepared and was delicious. Dessert of key lime pie and crème brûlée was excellent as were the wines we had. Throughout the entire meal, we were often asked if everything was okay. Water glasses were refilled quickly and finished plates were removed very promptly, even by the restaurant manager who is leading by example! Our server reminded us that the fixed gratuity was already included in the bill. The high ceilings, music, and even tvs all create a good, lively atmosphere which made dining here an excellent experience. 5/5More

From start to finish we had a wonderful dinner. Drinks at the bar were a great start. Our bartender made a perfect chocolate martini. We had a nice booth with a wonderful waiter, can't remember his name but he was excellent. Lobster bisque was great....So often when I order it, it is too thin. This was thick and delicious with just the right amount of lobster. My husband loved his oysters. Our fresh fish entrees were great. both came with side at no additional charge. I had read other reviewers rave about the chocolate cake. Unfortunately, it really wasn't a cake but a flourless torte. which I do not like. The room was lovely with white tablecloths that are becoming harder to find even in fine dining establishments. Everything was really good. We would return next time we are in Cleveland.More

We were in town to watch a volleyball tournament and were staying nearby. Our schedule only permitted one dinner out, so after reviewing those restaurants available in the area, we selected the Blue Point Grill. My wife had the "simple salmon", which she said was...excellent, and I selected the smaller filet, one of the best I have ever eaten. We also ordered the calamari appetizer, which was very good. There are many wines available by the glass, and the service, overall, was attentive but not intrusive. Reservations are a must, and they require a credit card with a pp charge if you cancel within a certain time. It is a very classy room, which adds to the enjoyment. There is an automatic 20% gratuity added to the cheque, and it was appreciated that the server informed us of that when she presented the bill. It was a great choice and a perfect meal for our only night out. We hope we can return in the future.More

Happy hour is a great time to visit and enjoy oysters, etc at the wonderful bar where great service is assured. I'm not too happy that they add 20% to your bill for whatever, because you still leave a tip and now you're leaving a...tip on top of a tip. But the food, environment are worth it.More

Excellent waiter, Mark….great appetizers….lobster/shrimp salad and oysters Rockefeller….tuna main courses were beautifully presented and fish was tender but crust is very spicy! Service was spotty so Mark comped a dessert…very nice. This restaurant is always busy! We ate in the bar which is quieter.

We were in town for a conference at a downtown hotel, and thanks to TripAdvisor and the hotel employees, we found this place. Beautiful interior with a nice ambience and excellent service from Evelyn and others. Nice by-the- glass wine choices and tasty house cocktails....The oyster sampler platter of 8 was fresh and tasty, followed by a good wedge salad and a grouper special. Tuna tartare appetizer and scallops also special. I am from Boston and the seafood here was as good as I would get back home.More
