I dined at the Flying Fig on a Sunday for brunch with my family. We arrived early and the hostess was able to seat us at a table on the patio. I had a Bloody Mary that was very good and had a touch too much spice. I ordered the croque madame that was topped with a fried egg. The... More

My boyfriend is originally from the Cleveland area and took me to visit for my birthday. For dinner, we headed to Ohio City and one of his favorite restaurants, The Flying Fig. Our meal was amazing! It was a hot summer evening and our server recommended the best plates, nothing heavy but full of flavor! We shared the cheese platter... More

It currently sits on the cleveland.com A-list, and for good reason. This Ohio city eatery features several well composed dishes and a rotating seasonal menu. The tempura beans with ponzu and pineapple caramel was a surprise and the calamari was a slight let down (the pickled vegetables didn't quite match up well with the other elements). Overall, a great place... More

We arrived around 11:45am Sunday and had to walked around for 20 minutes for the table, which is expected for the flying fig. We went to the westside market and after we came back, the table was ready before they called us. Black coffee was great and we had the special of the day - donut. Bread was served with... More

A group of 10 of us went here for a birthday gathering. The food was very good but we first ordered some apps to pass around and the portions were small for the $$. The "large" brussel sprout app for sharing was barely enough for 2 and the home made focaccia bread was good but small so we got a... More

Favorite restaurant in Ohio City. If you want really good food in Ohio City, this is where you need to go first! Lots of other places also have "fresh and local" now - but not every place excels in execution like Flying Fig does. They just know how to make things taste good! And look good, and smell good... Very... More

We were waiting for seating at the brewery across the street, and noticed this place. We bailed on the brewery and boy, were we glad we did. It was fantastic and service was the best.

This place was a culinary delight. Every dish we tried was excellent. There are unique dishes to try, all very good. The gnocchi with chorizo and peas was to die for. The rhubarb smash libation was quite tasty as well. Loved this place!!

Lovely outside dining area and excellent food. Everything was fresh and very different from the normal menu items. The Huevos Rancheros were better than I eat at the Mexican restaurant here in Florida. Turkey sandwiches were also a treat. Worth the time to eat here and prices were very fair
