Just explored the market and wandered upon this tavern for a late lunch! What a find. Great people, food, service. Very helpful accommodating one with GF diet restrictions. So glad we stopped in.

Saturday night, no wait and long drive. We stopped in here with the kids. 😬 Not from the area and realized it wasn't that type of party after we sat down. It's really loud in here but! The food was excellent as was the service....An order of fries is enough for 4; the salad was exceptional. Burgers, chicken were also very good. We'd come back again.More

Every community needs a local hang like this. Cleveland in the '70s and '80s was filled with them: dark enough, you can unwind, light enough you don't feel like you've fallen into a pit of depression or dirt. The Old Angle is Cleveland's source for...the best pull of Guinness on draft, as well as whatever else in the way of Irish whiskey suits you. The bartenders embody that hail fellow, well met notion of the classic Irish(wo)man -- and they don't skimp on the pour. While it's near. the stadium, the arena, the rock hall and just down the block from the West Side Market, the Old Angle is as much a neighborhood joint where people congregate to watch sports! And not just CLE Browns/Indians/Cavs action, either. World Cup soccer is massive at the Angle! The food works. There will be no Michelin stars, but for someone wanting to not eat their dinner alone: it works. Two steps beyond basic bar food, you can get something healthy -- or naughty -- enough.More

Visited the Cleveland area from Long Island for the first time. This bar was the best! Not only was the service excellent, but the bartenders, as well as the locals, were so friendly! What a wonderful afternoon we had. Would recommend this place again and...again!More

We were out for a post-graduation celebration with family and enjoyed a couple rounds of good drinks. Nice beer selection, and some of us had a Jameson cocktail with ginger beer. Friendly staff, lots of local clientele.

This isn't the most popular or busiest bar in Ohio City and that's one of the things I love about it. Bartenders are always great, it has a great pub feel to it, and all the food is delicious. There are a lot of good...bars and restaurants around, but the Old Angle is a must stop for me any time I'm in the area.More

This place often opens 7:30AM!! That's for the crowd wanting to watch live English soccer. The bar staff are great and really welcoming, and the food is worthy in and of itself. I had Irish Stew with bread roll; my plate was clean within 4...minutes.More

Stopped in here over the weekend, definitely has a local feel to it. Although the place was kind of dark inside, everyone was friendly and the service was very good. Sitting next to the fireplace on a cold day was relaxing. Food selection was pretty...good for a pub, and the burger and fries I had were good. Very reasonable prices.More

We stopped in Friday after golf for a late lunch and some pro gold from Firestone. The Burgers and hand cut were excellent and fast. Nothing fancy, nothing extravagant just good and inexpensive. I was full pretty much all night. The folks there are quick...and all the tv's have different sports. Friendly patrons, great simple decor.More

Just moved to Ohio City. We were looking for a place to watch Eurocup and stumbled upon The Old Angle. Three words. Love this place. Matt and the rest of that staff are great. It is a good place to watch soccer if you are...into Premier League or just tournament play. This bar has become our go to bar when we are looking to get the night started, finish it off or just relax and have a few.More

Excellent neighborhood tavern in Ohio City - the best. Lots of locals. New faces welcomed too. Very decent beer selection. Really good house salad and lamb stew. Also recommend the burgers and the "crack head" roasted tomato sandwich in particular. Friendly, laid back service.

My daughter had told us the wings were good here so we decided to give this place a try. Drinks were well made and the bartender -David was friendly and helpful. My husband had the wings and liked them and I had the lobster roll...with fries. The hand cut French fries and ketchup were amazing. The menu was extensive for a bar with lots of unique offerings. They guy next to me had the meatloaf and mashed potatoes and it looked delicious. I didn't realize they focus on farm to table menu offerings. we will be back to try more.More

We were staying in the area and our host at the B&B told us about this corner pub. The music was great - well themed to the rock and roll hall of fame. Specialty brews on tap and an Irish flair. The food was plentiful...and very good - good pub fare. The fries are hand cut and much of the food is locally sourced. Loved it.More
