We moved to Cleveland a little over a year ago and have truly been enjoying the Cleveland food scene. We have frequently heard Cowell and Hubbard mentioned as a great place to eat. We finally had the opportunity after a night at the theater. We were quite excited to try it out, only to be severely disappointed! We seated a... More

We went here before going to see Finding Neverland for our Anniversary. The food was good and our server Jordan was great! I was not to happy with where our table was at. I would have liked to have been seated at one of the tables in the front. I like more light and being able to see outside. We... More

Great food in the heart of the theater district. Wonderful lemon, honey martini to start with our waitress' recommendation. We had the specials a duck dish and a sushi style tuna excellent. Our waitress was delightful and engaging offering advice on the menu. We would revisit this restaurant again.

It is a great location for a pre theater dinner. As expected, it was pretty crazy and a fun dinner before we saw the Jersey Boys at the Palace Theater. Food was pretty good, service was commensurate.

Some areas of the restaurant are extremely packed and uncomfortable. The waiters continually knocked my coat off of my chair because the aisle was too tight. Food and service were good but being smashed like a sardine was not good.

The back room is definitely lacking in atmosphere, but the food was very good, the service reasonably prompt and the price was commensurate with the quality. Cowell and Hubbard is ideally located for before theater dining. They are very accustomed to before theater diners and easily have you out of the restaurant in plenty of time to take a leisurely... This place is wonderful - and this is coming from a self-acknowledged curmudgeon. I describe C&H as a Cut-Rate Balducci's - everything the same at 25-50% less cost. Prepared food bar is excellent and inexpensive. Extensive selection of wine & beer. Incredibly efficient and friendly staff. Perfection.

We also came here for dinner before seeing a show at the State Theater. We were referred by a valet at the Wyndham, so walked in not knowing what to expect. What we got were three of the best meals ever...from the steak to the cod to the duck, it was all expertly prepared and professionally served. The prices were... More

We had dinner here before a show because of its convenience, and we'd go back just for the meal. The service was top-notch, with plenty of staff keeping everything clean and running smoothly. I had the goat cheese ravioli with pesto, and it was as rich, creamy and flavorful as you'd want, with three large raviolis. My husband had the... More

We had a glass of vine and some small plates before a walking tour and a theater show.. We did not wan to eat too much. Our server recommended the crab cakes and the seafood dumplings.. Both were delicious and more than enough especially with the fresh baked bread and delicious olive oil.. Perfect!

Thank bblancha
