My husband and I went here for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Service started a little slow which is why I didn't give it all 5 stars, but after we got our wine, service got better. We got a couple glasses of wine, the Salumi plate which they ended up adding some extra cheese to (not on the menu but... More

RISTORANTE CHINATO East 4th Street Cleveland, Ohio Simply delicious I thought it is an abridged word for Chinatown and that the well-known chef Zack Bruell is going to do Chinese dishes. Contrary to my belief, Chinato pronounced “Kinato” is an Italian after dinner wine that is enhanced with herbs, spices, and Cinchona bark. As you look into the menus, it... More

Service was very good and beware the bread - they provide endless portions of very good bread for the oil dip. I had a romaine salad (I think) with way too much dressing. The scallop main dish was delicious, although I think there were at most, 4 scallops. My friend had the salmon dish and loved it. Would return.

Atmosphere beautifully decorated. Blake our server was on top of his game the entire evening - excellent service! Swordfish was excellent in preparation, presentation and flavor. Bread was crusty on the outside and served with olive oil. I would have preferred butter but no big deal. Appetizer which unless you are a true northern Italian would have no idea what... More

We were greeted with a smile even though the facility was packed and there was an hour wait for walkins. We sat in the lower level which was a bit dark and would have prefered the outside or the first floor. Our waitress was extremely friendly and very educated on the menu options. We had a party of six and... More

We stopped in after a baseball game and sat at the bar. The specials were very reasonable. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. We had some small plates and they were more than enough to fill us. Food was very good quality and very tasty. Would recommend to go there if you are in Cleveland!

Expecting excellence from any Zack Bruell restaurant, Chinato was a bit disappointing. The arugula salad was drenched in dressing - smothering the taste of the fresh arugula and fennel. The half portion of linguine with bay scallops was tasty but skimpy on the small scallops. (only 3? really?). Service was courteous and attentive. Perhaps it was an an off night... More

So don't find yourself at this restaurant looking for spaghetti. Oh yeah i am sure they can do it and they did offer it for one in our party. The meals are presented very well. Experienced and knowledgeable wait staff. Attendant but not pestering. It was a treat to go here. I personally had the Lamb shank which melted in... More

Had dinner here and we both loved our food. I had pasta with bay scallops and my husband had pasta with rabbit. We shared mussels first and loved them also. Our waitress was chatty and friendly but also efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Chinato is in a great, convenient location and you pay for this in your food prices. The pasta entrees tasted excellent, but $25 for a medium sized bowl is exorbitant. Service was OK in the bar area, but not great - fortunately, we were not in a rush. We will return - we know Zach Bruell will hopefully make menu... More
