The space itself is so gorgeous, awe inspiring, looks to be a turn of the century ballroom turned into a bar/dining room. It is set up very well in a huge space. We had a little private table set off from the main area. The service was impeccable. We enjoyed the appetizer salad (they offered to split it as it was so large) and each had the filet. The wine list was nice... partway thru dinner a pair of strolling musicians (sax and violin) came by to make the evening even more perfect. We were too stuffed for dessert but she brought us a "bouquet" of candy floss in a flower vase! Just charming. and when my sweetie was reciting poems to me, they left us alone....

The entrance is amazing, the whole experience reminded me of the Great Gatsby but a little more toned down. I ordered the caviar, Moet and mushrooms. The mushrooms were subpar but the caviar was good. The presentation? Excellent! The staff was knowledgeable and gave good suggestions with pairings as well as how to eat the caviar with the dishes that came with it, in my case bread and deviled eggs. (I had never had caviar before)
Also what was great was the fact that the saxophonist played all kinds of music as he walked up and down the aisles. My waitress was witty and made sure I was given the proper attention. I had a good time and would recommend the visit, it's worth it, the Marble Room looks so small on the outside, but once you enter, be prepared to be wowed!

I visited the Marble Room to celebrate my wife’s Independence Day birthday a little early. It was arguably one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We were privileged to have an amazingly talented and knowledgeable waiter Miron, who’s attentive service enhanced an extraordinarily elegance almost regal ambiance and the very well presented and tasty food. My oysters and my wife’s new favorite “Fish & Chips” sushi was accompanied by complimentary glasses of champagne to celebrate her day. We shared a perfectly dry aged Tomahawk Steak served just at the right temperature with our innovatively prepared bbq’d carrots and three different potatoes sides suggested by Miron. While my wife enjoyed a scrumptious cheese cake, I revisited my youth with a cotton candy martini finished table-side.
We enjoyed our celebratory evening at the Marble Room from beginning to end and can’t wait to come back to our new favorite restaurant…likely a little more busy as a result of our recommendation to friends !!

As native Clevelander's and foodies my wife and I have dined at virtually every steak and chop house in NE Ohio. I love my Cleveland and hesitated a bit before this review because I want to support local chef's and restaurants. There is no doubt that the ambiance and atmosphere here is unparalleled. What a beautiful venue and well appointed and clean. The service from start to finish was also exceptional for us. I would not call our servers " seasoned" waiters but they did ok. I didn't think the prices were that bad either for the venue and quantity of food you get. The wine list was extensive with many affordable bottles to choose from. The bourbon list needs some minor refreshing however. The food itself sadly disappointed us. The steak tartare was average and tasted like a cut from a cold meatloaf with little flavor. The Iceburg salad's at a steak house need to to pop... not here, also average at best. The filet steak was served barren on a solid white plate. They offer sauces but the streak itself had no marbling and was tasteless, even though cooked perfectly med rare. The sides were just OK with heavy seasoning that stayed in your mouth during the whole meal. I would recommend The Marble Room to anyone who wanted to celebrate a special occasion or just to see the magnificence of the venue. I would not recommend as a foodie destination There are no chef inspired meals on the menu and the offerings just didn't meet our expectations.

In town for a few days and was enticed here by good reviews and beautiful setting. We enjoyed our meal here as we were without children and the building is indeed special. I loved my cocktail and the bread and butter. But the steak was just ok. I got the filet and cut was certainly a good cut of beef and very tender. It just did not have much flavor or seasoning. There were optional sauces to order with the steak and I guess that is why they do that. My husband ordered the delmonico and was also not impressed. We ordered the side of twice baked potatoes and it was not enough for two people to split. My salad was plentiful and good. Overall our bill was $250 plus and not worth it for the food.

My wife and I ate here this past Saturday. I've been here twice before, her first time. We had lovely appetizers. (salad and beef tartar.) Her entree was a mess. Diver Scallops came to the table. As she started eating them, commented that they tasted undercooked. When she flipped them over, the bottom of the scallop had never seen heat. It was just plain white, not seared at all like the presentation side. Just at that moment, the manager stopped by our table and I asked him about only being cooked on one side. (There is a technique for only cooking proteins on one side.) He informed us that both sides should have been seared. He said he would delivery new scallops shortly. I stepped away from the table for a short break and when I returned, new scallops were out. However, the presentation side was now way overcooked. The bottom of the scallop had been put on the heat for just a few seconds, as it was more black than seared. My wife was done at that point.

We live in Erie PA and it is night on the town when we come to Cleveland We stay in a hotel and shop the next day. We ordered appetizers, salad and an entree. The waitress promised to spread things out so we could enjoy dinner. We ordered oysters and the salad came before we finished two oysters. Dinner came while we were half way through the salad. The delivery person noticed that we were not finished and brought the steak back to the kitchen. Two seconds after we finished our salad they brought out our porterhouse for two. The steak was barely warm and was quite cool when we finished. If it wasn’t so late I would have sent it back. My fault.
It’s very hard to get a reservation abd we left disappointed. Just n me are sure they really spread your dinner out.

My husband and I went to the Marble Room for the first time on Valentines Day. We were greeted by valet service which is a plus in downtown Cleveland. We did have to wait a bit for the valet to attend our car. This restaurant is a beautiful representation of the old luster of Cleveland as the venue used to be the old National City Bank. I couldn’t help but think about how important the bank employees must have felt working in this gorgeous brass and marble building back in a day where prestige was important. The only reason this review is not rated “excellent”, is because it is SO pricey. Our lunch with 3 drinks entree, dessert and tip was $150. Probably the most expensive lunch I’ve had. However, the salmon I had and swordfish my husband had were the best. Food was wonderful except for the bread which was tough as if it had been microwaved, which I was told was not the case. Service was very good. We would spend the money again but would need to be a special occasion. Cleveland can be proud to offer the Marble Room.

Was in Cleveland for a day as part of family vacation road trip visiting several cities and states. Visited Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on afternoon of Monday, July 26 since I read that Lita Ford would be performing there that day, and made a reservation for 5:30 at the Marble Room after scouring the internet trying to find the best place for dinner (R&R HOF closed at 5:00). The Marble Room was fairly close to R&R HOF and a parking garage was decently close to the restaurant. I wasn't crazy about eating at 5:30 pm, and figured the restaurant would be dead and no real need for a reservation, especially being a Monday night. When we arrived, it was fairly empty, but the restaurant filled up pretty quickly, so glad I made the reservation. Dining at the Marble Room is absolutely a must do if visiting Cleveland. The restaurant is stunning. There are several private rooms where the vaults are which unfortunately we didn't get to see (you can ask to see them if the rooms are not in use). Nick was our server and he was great in every way as were all the others who assisted during our dinner. There isn't a dress code other than no ball caps. I was there with my husband and two teen sons who all raved about this restaurant during our entire trip. Restaurant is elegant but not stuffy at all. Food was exceptional and my cocktail was delicious. A table nearby was celebrating an occasion and were brought a cotton candy cone (made on site) which we commented on and Nick brought one for my sons as well (complimentary). If for some reason I'm ever again in Cleveland or near Cleveland I will absolutely dine here again. Wish the restaurant was closer to our home in central Wisconsin! Also, as a side note, my youngest son said to me after we were seated at our table "Mom, Lita Ford is here in an area right by the entrance". Apparently celebrity sightings are not uncommon, especially with Cleveland being the home of several professional sports teams.

Why the lady of middle age still needed to check if we made the reservation after we told her we did. there were 2 groups at front us, she did not even ask them if they made the reservation, In NYC she must be fired! We noticed the bread should be on the table when waiter start to serve the client, but we have nothing until we asked it! This kind the service is not acceptable at all!
Food is not bad, The dining environment is very good, but unfortunately the service cannot meet this environment. The restaurant needs to educate the staffs about multi-ethnic service, especially the lady! Maybe she is the manager!
I have to said the waiter provide very good service late on, Tks a lot! High appreciated!

Our experinece at the Marble Room was amazing! We were in Cleveland to see a play and I had read about the Marble Room on various websites. While the prices are not for the faint of heart, and everything is a la carte (which I don’t care for) I highly recommend splurging while in downtown Cleveland. We got to the restaurant about 5 minutes early and we were seated right away. The hostess was darling (I wish I had gotten her name) and so friendly. Next we met Mitch, our servers helper, who was equally nice and friendly and helpful. Christina was our server and she was absolutely amazing. They have a VERY extensive wine list and many cocktails. We did tell Christina that we were going to a play and she said then we should be out by 7 (our reservation was at 5:45). It was suggested when we ordered to share a salad rather than get our own because they are so large. We both ordered the filets and they were cooked to perfection. We ordered the peppercorn sauce for the filet and it was silky smooth and never separated, not to mention delicious. Rolls were served at the table so we did not order a side with our steaks. When the order came out, there were garlic mashed potatoes. Christina told us the chef felt it needed a side so he sent them out to us. Dessert was equally delicious. To say the service is attentive is an understatement. If there was a drop of water on the table, Mitch cleaned it. Service was impeccable which is hard to find these days. When we left the table, it was exactly 7:00. If you want an amazing meal, in a beautiful restaurant with amazing service, and not being rushed in and out, this is for you.

Marble Room is our go to place for special occasions and they certainly make dining there special. The surroundings are maginificant, preserving the Victorian era magesty of the original bank lobby while making the dining area a match for the finest hotels in the world.
Service is excellent; attentive but not intrusive, friendly but professional.
The food is always top notch. I had a filet with sides of crispy potato cake and steamed asparagus that I shared with the other 3 in our party. My wife just loves the Duck Confit Spring Rolls and she made that her main course. Our guests started with French onion soup and then salmon and the chicken breasts. Not very adventurous but all prepared to perfection.
The wine list is extensive and we had no trouble finding a top notch chardonnay. I aso had an Angel's Envy Rye bourbon chosen from a long list of bourbons.
Considering that we had a bottle of wine, a $32 bourbon, a soup, an appetizer, and three mains, the final bill was quite reasonable.
It is little wonder that you have to book weeks or months ahead to get a table.

I made reservations for Valentines Day weekend at Marble Room and was super excited being that is was very hard to secure a reservation. I had heard so many great things about MR and the reviews online were phenomenal to say the least. I made special requests prior to our visit to make sure me and my date had an great experience and could enjoy each other’s company wo interruption. When we arrived we were promptly greeted by the host and seated briefly after. I am very big on customer service and presentation being that I worked in the restaurant industry for years. First I noticed when sitting was the dirty silverware. I’ve worked in restaurants far below standards of MR and silverware being polished is of great importance being it’s one of the first things seen when guests sit. Our server came and greeted us but forgot my request I made when making the reservation which kind of threw off the night for me from the beginning. When the food was delivered one of the plates that came to the table was cold. Another was under cooked which they ended up taking off the check which we appreciated. All in all our visit was just ok.. the ambiance was very nice but as far as everything else it was just decent. We both seen a manager present walking around surveying the waiters but he never once stopped to our table to see if things were well. Cool to experience MR but wouldn’t return. Pier W was a much better experience.

We had a memorable 30th Anniversary celebration at Marble Room! My husband and I were warmly greeted and shown to an intimate table. The atmosphere and ambiance were unsurpassable. Our server, Keith, explained and recommended dishes for us to consider. His attention and wonderful personality and professionalism really made our experience special. The shrimp cocktail was fresh and delicious. We had the most incredible steaks; dry aged delmonico and filet, both PERFECTLY cooked. Caesar salad, fresh asparagus, wine and cocktails rounded out our 5 star dinner. We were surprised with a dessert tray including a decadent cheesecake and delicious coconut & lemon fruit enhanced sorbet. If you visit Cleveland, you really need to treat yourself to the Marble Room! You won't be disappointed.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Hands down the best restaurant in Cleveland. From
Ambiance to the food and everything in between was amazing. You’re in an old school bank that resembles a castle in Europe. The music and ambiance has has a chill but welcoming vibe. Not too stuffy even though it’s a 5 star and dollar sign establishment. But there are tons of options for the thrifty spender. Sushi and other great raw foods are options. I went for the Wagyu carpaccio with fresh shaved black truffle. I’ve eaten carpaccio on three continents, best one I’ve ever had. Followed up with 30 oysters that you cannot get fresher in the Midwest area let alone Cleveland. I finished off with what can only be described as the most succulent, melt in your mouth, stand alone Wagyu steak I’ve ever had. Sure it’s 35 an ounce but what I can tell you is this steak is to be tasted slowly!!!!!!! Enjoy it. Taste every single bite, as you have a literal moment with this steak. You want to dance with it and then take it out for breakfast. If you love steak and haven’t had a moment like I am describing then you must come dive into this epic dining experience. Servers are knowledgeable, and you’ll love the crème brûlée
