My husband and I went here for a quick and close by winter get away. It was lovely. The Inn was clean and comfortable. There was a gas fire which kept the place warm and comfortable. We had a king size bed and large Jacuzzi tub which made it luxurious. The Inn was stocked nicely with water, chips and yogurt.... More

High price makes it a special event restaurant.. this place is staple of Chardon. It could use some sprucing up. Sort of like a hunting lodge in decor. Lovely interesting food, and attentive polite service. Love it when the fireplace is lit (if your table is not too near)

Bass Lake Tavern is a quaint little place. The food is good the service is better and the wine list is great. Eric has a diamond in the rough here and I enjoy going frequently.

Bass Lake Tavern offers a great deal for locals and travelers. We have repeatedly returned to stay at the Inn and to enjoy dinner at the Tavern. Warm, cozy environment is welcoming. Traditional American faire with a flare makes for a great meal.

We regularly eat here. Often in summer, we eat on the patio outdoors. And in winter by the fireplace in the tavern area. Very quaint. The food is always delightful. We love the salmon especially. The Long Island iced tea is the best summer drink. And the wine choices are fine. Have never had a poor meal-love this place!

This was one of the best dinners we've had out. Everything (from the cocktails to the salad to the soup to the small plates, dinners and dessert) was simply delicious. We do not live near here but whenever we're in the area we will definitely stop for another wonderful meal!!!

We were in town for a couple days of R&R. We stayed at the Inn, which was a pleasant experience. Our package included dinner at the tavern. On the first night my wife ordered a pulled pork dish. She was not impressed, but it went from mediocre to mess when she discovered a plastic pick in her food. You know,... More

Every time I eat at Bass Lake, I wonder why we don't go there more often. They have a unique menu, friendly service and wonderful food. The only complaint would be the price point. I treated a friend to lunch for her birthday, and the tab was $40. And we didn't even have a cocktail, so that's a little steep... More

I have always been very happy dining at Bass Lake Tavern, but when I went there last Sunday with my wife and another couple for brunch, I was kind of stunned and disappointed. The service was fine and cordial, the outdoor seating on the pretty patio was lovely on a late-summer day, and the overall experience was pleasant. But the... More
