We'd heard good things & tried it when another restaurant didn't work out. Can't vouch for the regular menu, but the grouper special was great & piping hot. Nothing fancy, but good food & service. Glad we went there instead. We'll be back.
Frequent this restaurant quarterly. Very good service and menu. Terrific veal parm, peppers, mozzarella. Great dessert options as well. Dinner seating at bar and at high tops in bar. Restaurant is quite loud but there is a quiet room one can request.
6 of us stopped in for dinner early evening on a Friday.
Easy parking and access to the restaurant. Comfortable atmosphere.
The service was excellent the entire time we were there, but I will say it was early and our server only had a few...tables at the time.
As a group, we frequent many of the restaurants in the area and have other Italian restaurants to compare this one to.
Bread bowl was served with a dipping oil for the table. Fresh and tasty.
My spaghetti seemed too firm like is was not done enough, but I was not sure if it was just the type of spaghetti they use. Meatballs were decent size but a little dry. My wife got the pork and pasta dish and she did not like it very much. Fed the leftovers to the dogs.
Chocolate mousse was very good and the ice cream cake was a large portion and excellent.
We would consider going back, but we do have an Italian restaurant in Chesterland that is excellent and is our first choice.
Again, our waitress did a superb job and we really appreciated her.More
My family has been to this restaurant MANY times for many years. It is very close to home, and at one time did have good food. If you are reading reviews from past years, you are seeing reviews for a different restaurant. It started when...salads were no longer included with entrees, but prices still went up. At that time, waitresses were not allowed to give customers the specials menu which left you with the embarrassing situation of asking for a price on each entrée. Last year the owner left the kitchen, and his son took over. He obviously did not spend much time in the kitchen with daddy! The overall quality of the food has taken a nose dive, and don't expect to find some of the previously highly rated dishes like the "spots" and the eggplant parmesan. They are no longer on the menu. The menu is a skeleton of the original. On our most recent, and last visit, my husband complained that the pizza, which he had always enjoyed, was terrible. We were a party of 4, and while the Gino's cavatelli was still good, the rest of us were disappointed. The only up side is that the service is always very good.More
The food is very good. I love eggplant, but they don’t have eggplant parm. You get 3 pieces of roasted eggplant with ricotta cheese piped in the middle. It was on a bed of red sauce. It was ok.
My husband ordered the veal parm...and said it was excellent. He is Italian so very picky.
However, the restaurant is ala carte, so salads and pasta extra.
The place was cute. A word of warning. The place is empty by 9 on a Saturday night.More
Just moved into the are & we thought it was Mexican- but we were deliciously surprised! The service was awesome. So was the home made bread with just enough garlic. We got the specials for dinner & they were absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a return...trip!More
