We had not been here since the change on ownership/name. We opted to dine here before a play around the corner and glad we had a reservation as the place was packed. On a side note, we had no idea it was a mini-restaurant week...in the area, so we ended up taking advantage of that. We had to start with a cocktail (Elderflower Mule & Strange Brew). Those arrived quickly as did fresh bread and butter. Since we were 'allocated' 3 courses, we opted for the lobster escargot (a keeper) and the Duroc Bacon (also a keeper). We added 2 salads, which probably were too much in hindsight, but the had to try the wedge and the Caesar (both were very good). The entrees that we selected were the 7 oz. Filet (cooked perfectly) and the Arrabbiata (also fantastic). We rounded off the evening with 2 creme brulees. Only issue was we had to rush to the theater as next time we will make an early reservation to enjoy the meal even longer.More

If you're looking for a good steak in Chagrin Falls, this is your place. Formerly Gamekeepers, the Bull & Bird maintains all of the charm of the old and infuses a nicer atmosphere, better seating, and great food. It's high end, so expect to pay...$30 to $50 for your entree, but well worth it for a fine meal. The staff is great, the service is excellent, and the menu has a wide variety of great options in both the steak and seafood categories. We sat in the front section with a view of the street. This section does not have permanent walls (instead using roll up windows), but the heat was on and we were never uncomfortable despite he 20 degree weather.More

The restaurant is very pretty. Good is good but I found it expensive and noisy. Staff was attentive and friendly.

My husband and I had been here for our anniversary in June and liked it, so I made a reservation for last night for my husband's birthday. It was snowing lightly. First bad impression was that there is no valet service from the front of...the restaurant, you have to go down a block to Jekyll's, which, by the way is owned by the same restaurant chain group. My husband dropped me off and went to the valet station, where he got stuck in a huge chaotic mess. Long line, not enough valets, people blocking others from moving, etc. Was it because of a little snow? I sat at our table alone for almost 15 minutes before he came in. We were seated upstairs in a room with a wood ceiling, making the noise level almost intolerable at times. I got a wedge salad with chicken (pan-seared, the menu says) for my entree, and my husband got the salmon and a side of brussels sprouts. We ordered wine and it came right away, but they never brought bread--we had to ask. My husband said his salmon was good, and it looked properly cooked to me. My salad was just so-so, barely enough dressing, and was a little messy looking for a fine dining place. The "pan-seared" chicken ( a breast with the wing bone attached) was HORRIBLE. The cook must have seared it twice as long as necessary because I could barely cut into it, the surface was so tough. The meat was very dry, so I had to keep drinking water to get it down. They did bring my husband a complimentary brownie for his birthday dessert, which was good, and the dessert I ordered was good. No, I don't send food back in restaurants. I simply leave it on my plate and vow never to go back. Then I write a review. Overall, it was not a good birthday experience. My husband's meal was acceptable, but the prices are high for the quality of the food and the atmosphere. And the restaurants in Chagrin Falls must do better with valet service. There should be valets waiting in front of each dining establishment, especially in cold or bad weather. We won't be going back any time soon.More

Really disappointed in Bull & Bird for what was supposed to be a nice dinner to celebrate my birthday. We should have taken the hint and just gone somewhere else after the lukewarm reception we received upon entering the restaurant. On a slower Monday night,...our party of 3 was told it would be at least a 20 minute wait for a table. We were told this as I could clearly see numerous open, clean, and unoccupied tables scattered throughout the restaurant. We were advised that we could have a drink at the bar while we waited. Once at the bar, we were summarily ignored by the female bartender. I would reference her by name, except she never gave it. The bartender had a sour look on her face and did every task imaginable behind the bar to avoid acknowledging us. When I informed her that we would like to order drinks while waiting for our table, she seemed even more annoyed. While my drink was fine, she managed to incorrectly make the drinks of my fiancé and my friend. My fiancé ordered a Canadian Club with a splash of soda and my friend order a Tito’s and soda. My fiancé got all whiskey and no soda and my friend got all soda and no vodka! After finishing our drinks, my fiancé checked to see if our table was ready. We were finally seated in the front portion of the restaurant in front of a nice fireplace. Both myself and my friend ordered filets. My filet was done perfectly, while hers was overcooked. My whipped potatoes were fantastic while the delmonico potatoes were disappointing and only fair. My fiancé rated his bass as good, but said that the accompanying carrots were undercooked. While our server was very pleasant and friendly, it seemed as if she was a rather new waitress. Our water glasses went unfilled throughout dinner and she also neglected to check in on us once we received our food. When our water glasses were refilled, we noticed that there were things floating in the water. Several of our forks and knives were also dirty. On a positive note, the decor of the restaurant was rich and cozy. Dark wood, leather, and brass was plentiful throughout the establishment. I was also given a desert and card in celebration of my birthday. While a lot of what I was disappointed in with may seem minor, it’s inexcusable to have such poor service when paying such high prices. If Bull & Bird wants to portray itself as a high end establishment, it needs to act like a high end restaurant and focus on details and impeccable service. While I may be back in time to give this restaurant a second chance, right now I cannot recommend it to friends and family.More

Had a wonderful and delicious meal with friends visiting from out of town. Great wine recommendations however quite pricey. The server should have mentioned the price when he made the suggestion. The steaks and chicken were excellent. The wedge salads, soups and vegetables were delicious...as were the desserts. A very nice place to celebrate a special occasion - we will be back!More

My husband and I used to to come here when it was Gamekeeper's, so we had high expectations. We were greeted immediately by a welcoming hostess and seated in the main dining room. We started out with the meatball appetizer, which was beyond delicious. For...our main dishes, my husband chose the Tuscan ribeye and I opted for the filet mignon Tuscan style. Both steaks were cooked to perfection and couldn't have been better. The Bull and Bird has a wonderful, welcoming atmosphere with 5 star food to back it up. We will be regulars!More

They have bourbon and whiskey cocktails I rarely see at other bars. I had a sidecar, I loved the lemony drink! Our friends found a nice wine and they said the pour was generous. We had a great time batting drinks in a beautiful atmosphere.

My wife and I like the vibe at this restaurant. Menu is limited but all items are very good as well as the service. Try the Tuscan Ribeye.
