I had some very good food. Chirashi was probably the best I ever had and I eat very often Japanese food around the world. This place is a must go!!!

The sushi menu is quite extensive and it was good, but not great. Decent dumplings and spring rolls.

As a fan of their now-defunct “half-price sushi nights” (relabeled “special price sushi nights”), I was hoping the hibachi lunch to go would be just as tasty. And it was - tasty - but for $10.95 I received 5 scallops, a small container of fried rice and maybe three tablespoons of veggies. The order also came with clear soup and a house salad (all lettuce, one scribble of carrot). So I was left unimpressed. I don’t need a gigantic portion of course, at lunch, but I need to feel like I’ve received not only an adequate portion in exchange for my currency, but some attempt at detail (or pizzazz) with my meal. Perhaps a cucumber in the salad? Maybe more than one thin mushroom sliver in my clear soup? Maybe a lucky number of scallops (7? 8?) .... and the hibachi veggies were cut small, had adequate variety, but there just weren’t very many at all. I can still recommend this restaurant but mostly only for the “special price sushi nights”.

We had high expectations, but were disappointed. The sushi was only average (good it was half price sushi night) and the red snapper hibachi was nothing special either.

While I love sushi, I don't get it here because it is warm from the lamps above the product. Other Chinese style dishes are good, but not great.

Love, love, love this place! Went here for the first time in February and have gone monthly (or about every three weeks since then). It's about a half hour from where we live so it's not a real convenient destination but worth the drive. Food is excellent; we've tried many different options and have not been disappointed once. Half-price on many sushi rolls every Tuesday and Thursday. Seriously...GO!😋

After having my husband pick up some sushi for dinner some day ago, we decided we need to dine in and check this place out. What a great sushi place! We have already ordered almost all chef’s special sushi and we basically loved them all. The rolls were big but delicious!! Made to (almost) perfection! Today my mom got the bento box. She didn’t like the fried rice though; today was the only complaint. I had hot green tea, and I thought it could be stronger. Not my fave... Service was superb! The place/ambience was okay. Nothing that would make me not go back. In fact I look forward to getting their special price sushi on Tuesday and Thursday. I’m glad I’ve found a good sushi place nearby.

Went to dinner with my husband hoping to find a new place we love to eat. Food was ok. Prices were too high considering the hibachi is not done in front of you. When we asked the waitress how many shrimp come with the shrimp hibachi vs. Chicken & shrimp hibachi combo.....she had no clue. And, made no effort to go find out. A bit frustrating. I would rather go pay the same price and be entertained. .... and have staff who are helpful & knowledgeable.

Many of us hardcore foodies have followed chef/icon Anthony Bourdain's various rules of sushi do's and don'ts and days to order/not order for over a decade now. But I think even Bourdain himself, if he were still with us, would come to North Canton for a Parts Unknown episode (Canton is a *tad* unknown, don't argue with me) and listen to me, alongside a few other locals, explain why it's MORE than just 'okay' to order 1/2 price sushi ALL DAY on Thursday at Sakura - it's actually a DARN GREAT idea for three simple points: 1. the sushi does not taste like 1/2 price sushi (which is often close to that mediocre edible, but bland all-you-can-eat buffet sushi) 2. Sakura's Thursday selection is varied, well-presented, efficiently and attentively served and 3. it's affordable and there are other options for 1/2 price, such as shumai, miso soup, and salmon skin salad, to name a few. Smash all three of those reasons together and I think Bourdain would agree we have a case for gathering friends and loved ones together to treat ourselves to Thursday ALL DAY Half Price Sushi (noting Monday is also available.) I love the open floor plan of Sakura (which shares a building with a Subway and sits in the formerly well-attended but now defunct Mexican restaurant Chips-N-Salsa) and that surprised me. I have MANY memories of Chips but this did not impact my enjoyment of Sakura in any way - which is not only evidence of how much I've grown as a foodie and person, but a testament to the sushi, service, and ambiance of Sakura. The Thursday we chose randomly was on a cold night in the dread of an early, snowless January, but the place was packed. All ages of couples, families, business associates and groups of friends gathered together to revel in our sushi convictions. It was a beautiful evening. The miso soup had that extra salty kick I love and while the banana tempura roll was completely new and of an off/odd texture to me, I still tried it and loved it - as well as the best shumai I've had in a decade (at least), and an extremely well-proportioned salmon skin salad. I only wanted the hot tea to be stronger. Highly recommended.

Service was good, but when we said that the sushi was dry the original waitress still charged the full amount even though only a salad was eaten. Once the manager was involved they tried educating us on sushi even though it's something I enjoy often. End result we paid $4 for a salad and ate 2 pieces of sushi.

This is a good sushi place although the they don't have all the things on the menu. I've only had various types of sushi there and can't comment on anything. Service is pretty standard but I don't mean that as a negative.

Came here on my lunch break with friends. The restaurant is calming and beautiful, the staff friendly, and the food is delicious! Try the salmon bento box, it's amazing!

What a surprise! Do not judge by the outside. It is not part of subway and is no way anything like it When you walk in it was so pretty and tue ambience is Japanese and the staff is friendly. The food was really good! I had Hibachi Scallops soup and a California roll. Very good. I will be coming back on my next trip! Thank you!

I love Sakura. The sushi is great and the hibachi is wonderful. I like that you get tasty hibachi without having to sit around a grill with someone throwing food at you. Instead of a show they just provide excellent hibachi. They don't as salty sauce for sizzle, they add sauce for flavor. It is not too salty like at other hibachi places and has great flavor. The service is great and it is easy to get a seat. The prices for what you get are really reasonable. I always take half of it home with a full belly.
