This is our second time trying this restaurant. The first was several years ago and it was a good experience but it's in a small town we drive through seldom so we hadn't been back. Recently, a friend told us it was under new ownership...or management so we decided to give it a try. My wife got the Philly Steak sandwich and she raved about it. The garlic buttered hoagie roll delivered and the sandwich was hot when it arrived. Likewise, the fries which were hand cut, hot and plentiful. I helped her eat them! I ordered a Reuben and it was packed with corn beef, hot and delicious. I order onion rings which the waitress said were frozen, not home-made. They were edible. All in all, a good experience and we'll be back. HOWEVER.....I realize this is somewhat out of their control but we're hoping the owners see this and pass the word on. A family member (Sister?) of one of the waitresses was there with her family(?) and they were LOUD...extremely LOUD. We asked to be moved and used the nosy air vent as an excuse but it really was the combination of the air vent and this LOUD woman. Because she was loud, it seemed like everyone at her table was loud. It was as though she thought she was holding court in her own dining room. They left about 3/4 through our visit. Thank God. We're sure the owner knows who we're referencing and maybe the sister could tell her family member to 'dial it back' and use her 'indoor voice'. LOL It really was ridiculous. Other Suggestions: 50s or 60s music. This is an old railroad depot and the inside is dated. That's ok, we dig it. But music played soft in the background could add ambience. Of course, that is if loud lady isn't present. LOL Also, to whoever owns the property...it needs a good exterior paint job and refresh. We're of the opinion that there are folks who will never give the restaurant a try because of its exterior appearance. Best of Luck to the new owners/management!More
