Stopped in here for lunch after visiting Fort Laurens. We had salad and Reubens. Both were very good. Looking at the menu and the menu board showed other delicious choices that will make sure we will return.

A very friendly and historic tavern. Eat inside of the tavern with rustic decor but very good food. Out of door, a covered patio and bar. Also, out side seating with umbrellas and open air. Close to downtown Zoar to visit.

We stumbled upon this diner while on a mini vacation. It is a quaint little spot with excellent food and wonderful service. The menu has a wide variety to choose from and the ice cream is fantastic treat!

Just outside Zoar the tavern excels in a taste of old German favorites. The steaks and sausages are always done to perfection and the wine list has a good collection. The sangria was quite wonderful.

We in Wednsday evening for my wifes birthday. We were a groop of four. The service was excelent as usual, but I had the lasagna, sorry but it was dry and very little flavor. I love pasta dishes and the lasagna was a big let...down. Signed RAMore

Randall A I want to let you know that you left your review at the wrong restaurant. We are the Canal Tavern of Zoar - located just outside Zoar Village. We do not serve lasagna. I think you were probably at the Towpath Tavern in...More

Went for a nice dinner here on a Fri. Made reservations and glad I did. It was packed. This is an old Inn and very quaint. They serve German food. Wear a sweater or heavy shirt in the winter as it gets pretty cold in...there. They have a patio for summertime. Anyhow dinner is always very good and drinks are spot on. Had meatloaf and green beans. Pretzel buns. Chocolate cake, Dirty Martini and German beerMore

We visited here for an early dinner after touring Zoar village. Very quaint historic building with wonderful service! The food was amazing and probably the best meal I have had since moving to Ohio a few months ago! We loved all of the dishes we...had: meatloaf in a crust, lamb chops, vegetable spaetzle, sauerkraut balls and beignets with homemade ice cream. Highly recommend this restaurant!More

Stopped in for Sunday brunch, and what an excellent choice! The Cinnamon French Toast was the best I’ve ever had, and the sides (eggs, hash browns) were also very good. The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, and the staff is friendly. I look forward to...visiting again!More
