Walking into the restaurant you could tell they had a problem with cleanliness. The doors were caked with smudges and there were wrappers in the foyer on the floor. I couldn't tell you the last time the floors were cleaned because there was food and...grease all over. I wanted to walk out but we were there for a couples night. After waiting a long time, 30 minutes past our reservation time we were finally seated. We were crammed at a table were we had little elbow room. The chairs sat much lower than the table and many of them were about to fall apart. We had to wipe the chairs off because there was food all over them. We sat at our table for well over 20 minutes before our server came. He asked for our order, even before taking our drink order and we told him we don't have any menus. He then handed us a QR code menu and then again, asked us for our drink order. He couldn't answer over 1/2 our question about what was on tap so we just ordered a water so we could get something to drink and look over the menu. He came back in a short while and we were able to tell him our food order. We still had no drinks. He brought us the soup and salad for the hibachi, but still no drinks. It wasn't until we were almost done with our appetizer when he FINALLY brought our drinks. After that, he never came to our table again. I thought this may have been the standard, but many other servers were attending to their tables on a regular basis. I even tried to flag him down but he never acknowledged us again, until we're were done. Another server was kind enough to refil our drinks during the meal. When our server finally came back at the end of the meal he handed us to go boxes and our check and waited. We said we were doing to finish our meal, but he could refill our drinks for us. He said he'd refill our drinks after we paid our bill. A person at the table asked if the tips are split and he said he gets most of them. I can tell you we did not tip well. I told him if he had been more attentive to our table he would have gotten more. We did go to our chef and hand him a tip since he did a good job entertaining us. If you go, hopefully you don't get Max (I think that was his name - He had short hair and had braces). Our chef was entertaining but cooked with A LOT of garlic and butter. Our fried rice and noodles should have been called garlic rice and noodles. The rest of the food was okay. If you go don't wear your best clothes. They had a huge ventilation problem. The place was smokey and smelled like burnt food. We left smelling like garlic and trash. My suggestion to the manager is to shut down so you can do a deep clean, train your servers, and teach your chefs to cook.More
