Used to love this place but apparently the COVID pandemic has effect their employee's ability to provide service.
Went in for dine-in early June (think it was the 4th or 5th) around 7:30 (other people were seated and being served) and the bar tender was...the first to make eye contact with us. Said nothing. Waitress came to bar computer and looked at me and my husband from over the computer. Didn't say anything. Waitress left computer and went back to kitchen. Bar tender makes eye contact with us again. Does nothing and says nothing. Waitress comes out from kitchen and brings something to another table doesn't look at us and walks back to the kitchen. We waited 2 more minutes after being ignored SO many times and left and went to eat at Blarney Stone.
Highly recommend Blarney we've always gotten great service there.
I did contact MacKenzie River through the websiye and. Stated what happened and that I would wait to post my review upon and explanation or apology. I have not received either. I don't recommend MacKenzie River due to their inability to acknowledge customers or treat them with respect. We will not be returning and will not recommend it to friends or family.
I do recommend Longhor Steak House, Blarney Stone, and Izumi's.More
Great neighborhood eatery option, don't let the word "pizza" in their name make you think it is just another pizza place---it definitely is not! We met friends for lunch and every person loved their food and we had quite a variety, flatbreads, steak salad (steak...was tender), burgers ( 1/2 lb. excellent beef) ---all cooked perfectly and delicious! Our waitress was outstanding and the restaurant ambience was terrific---the floor-plan allows conversation without the usual noise of a restaurant full of people. The prices were reasonable and we liked everything about MacKensie River Pizza (and trust me, it is much more than pizza) we will definitely return. Try it, you'll like it!More
The food was really good... the first time we visited we had a server who was outstanding... personable and fun... did a great job and I gave her a good tip... second time the food was really good again... the service was not so good...and that is the only reason for the average rating... to many waitresses standing around and not working
with the customers....More
We ordered 3 different appetizers and drinks. The blackened sirloin tips with bleu cheese were literally burned steak pieces and inedible. The chorizo skillet with a cooked egg was ok. The chicken rolls were delicious! We had to wait 30 for a table and had...time to look at the menu. Eric was our server and he was very good. The building is newer, clean and has lots of light. There are several TVs so you can watch any sporting event. Considering all the restaurant options, we will check them out and not return to MacKenzie River Grill.More
We have been very impressed with Mackenzie River the 3 or 4 times we've been there. I love the atmosphere, and the service is great! I've had the taco trio a couple of times now and it's great! My husband loved the hamburger. The pizza...is great too along with the flatbread. Would recommend this restaurant!More
We decided to check out MRP for a little Happy Hour fun after work. It was a Tuesday evening around 5pm. The appearance of the building was neat and clean. It is a new facility so I expected that. The food was great and I...don’t think anyone at our table went home unsatisfied. I went with the Cajun Chicken Alfredo and it was fantastic. I washed it down with a OMG size Driftboat Amber Ale. The beer was cold and tasted great with my pasta. The only problem we had was the service was a bit slow. It could be because the place is still relatively new but I still felt the service could be a little quicker at this point. Overall, I would go again.More
Slow service. I ordered an appetizer of artichoke dip and a cup of beer cheese soup along with a glass of wine.
First cup of soup was barely warm delivered in seconds was the artichoke dip. I LOVE artichoke dip! This tasted like flour -...no flavor. YUK.
Second barely warm bowl of soup was delivered. I asked for my check.More
