Great Sunday lunch !

Pros: Many. Great food (superb Sirloin, expertly cooked to order, and a great pork belly with trimmings, Clappis bread), attentive and friendly service, live music, good wines (Shout-out to Brick Kiln !), nice table under the trees, fair price. Cons: Few. Mother Nature for putting on an overly... read more

A midweek cruise to McLaren Vale led us to Red Poles cafe/resturant, wow what a great place under the verandah and grape vines, great staff and quickly attended. The food orders were quickly on the table and delicious, a special wine was offered to accompany our meal what a beauty it was, local wine and still looking for it online!... More

Red Poles stands up proudly for customer service, communication , fab setting food and wine. $40 per head set choice menu - you will not be disappointed. Wine list is lovely and all were very happy with the choices we had. Despited being busy, lots going on our food was served in a timely manner. Can't wait to come back... More

We spent a relaxing morning at Red Poles outside under the trees. We had our little fox terrier with us too. The waitress seated us and brought a bowl of water out for our dog. This was a lovely extra. We tried the beer tasting paddle and a yummy 3 cheese selection. The waitress was very knowledgeable when she brought... More

You know that meal that you have and you just know that the next time you're starving it will be the one you think of. Had the lamb was delicious, service was friendly and welcoming and how can you fault the setting. Now I have discovered this restaurant will becoming back soon.

There is a lot of talent in the kitchen at Red Poles. Delicious pork belly and delicious gnocchi both creatively presented in comfortable sized portions and accompanied by glasses of Brick Kiln Shiraz made for a very pleasant lunch. Couldn't resist the deserts and coffee either. Wait times between courses were just right and the ambience is relaxing.

I went to Red Poles as a belated work Christmas outing during January. We sat out under the veranda on a lovely summers day and this set the theme for the day. The service was prompt and very friendly and then the platters came out. We had a bread, oil, olives, prosciutto, sun dried tomatoes and dukah. It was all... More

We had a salmon fillet that was to die for except for the salt that seemed to over dominate it. The brownie with icecream was great. Our friends loved their steaks. Try this spot when in this area.

This place has a great outdoor setting and location is excellent. Outside of the ambience the rest was below average. Ate here with a group of ten and the service was poor/lazy. The food in general was below average and they had run out of so many basic things. Overall, I didn't rate this place at all and I wouldn't... More
