We returned to eat after many years (not intentionally as it has long been up there on our "must eat" and have recommended to many people. Easy to spend the afternoon. The views are gorgeous - you sit looking out over the lime trees, gum trees and the vineyards. The service was still spot on and it had a great... More

Loved the entire experience. Manager very attentive and engaging. Food was perfectly sized for lunch and full of flavour. We will be back when you reopen for spring.

We were looking forward to a great dining experience at the Currant Shed; all started well with the chef's selection of complimentary tasty appetizers. Very nice, but they kept coming: 3 portions in all. Generous...but one would suffice. If we want appetizers we will order them. That sounds ungracious, but we don't go to restaurants for 'freebies', but for our... More

Excellent food, wine & service in a great location with an engaging & attentive team. Opted for the entree & main, but then couldn't resist the Lime Tart & dessert wine !!

The Currant Shed is a perfect place for lunch - the food, service and setting were all excellent. We ordered the 2 course option ($55) and were pleasantly surprised by some complimentary chefs appetisers. The aerated brea with house rice crackers were sublime clouds which melted in your mouth. The duck with quince was probably one of the best duck... More

Spent a beautiful sunny winter's lunch at the Currant Shed. The location and views are wonderful and we were treated to a number of delicious complimentary appetisers, including a delicious and unusual Brie foam with sweet potato crisps. We had entrees of pork and scallop together with a beetroot and goat curd dish, both really tasty, followed by mains of... More

Excellent service and food. Surrounded by grape vines and Lemon trees. Quirky barn style décor, very clean and well presented tables and kitchen. Good choice of local SA wines.

We went to The Currant Shed for Sunday lunch yesterday and what a delight it was... Someone has done an excellent job of not only designing a great menu but also the furniture, crockery and cutlery and lay out of the tables. The food was presented on interesting pottery dishes and delightful little portions were sent out from the kitchen... More

Wow. Delicious, elegant, well-planned seasonal food, presented by genuine friendly staff. That alone would be a great start, but the deal is sealed by how great the value is, and how beautiful the setting of the orchard and hills. With the flexibility to choose 2 or 3 courses, everything I've tasted there has been spectacular. The dishes aren't large, nor... More

One of the most enjoyable afternoons we spent in S. Australia. Enjoying a meal at The Current Shed 45 min outside of Adelaide with outstanding, friendly, personal service and very tasty food with an unusual menu. Additional surprises were the amuse bouche' and small touches during the meal. Our choices were Prawns as entree rabbit and lamb along with an... More
