I recently celebrated my birthday at Penny's Hill with a group of friends. Much like every other time I have been it was delicious. The staff are always friendly and attentive. The food is amazing, and you just can't beat the view. I would highly recommend Penny's Hill for any occasion. ( also a fabulous spot to duck in for... More

From the food to the service everything was outstanding! The host was brilliant and the food was perfectly cooked, presented, and was an experience for the taste buds! Not for children, but perfect for couples or small intimate groups. We even had a couple of visitors.

My Mum and I went here for lunch and it was just lovely. Exceptional service and very accommodating staff. We chose the chefs selection with matched wines. Both food and wine were amazing and we were sat by the window over looking the winery. It was perfect.

We went to this restaurant for a friends birthday. The food was really fantastic . We shared a starter of smoked goats curd with peas which as a great entree completed with breads and gluten free bread for one. This is the first restaurant that Ihave been to where they have gluten free bread! We had 4 different main courses... More

The beautiful buildings at Penny's Hill welcome you in. The host was friendly and definitely knew his wines. The wines were some of the best I've tasted and the atmosphere was relaxing. Worth a visit.

My partner and I enjoyed the best service we've ever experienced from an amazing staff member there last Thursday. I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't catch his name at the beginning and felt too impolite asking to repeat it but I won't forget his face! He established a rapport with us immediately, seating us at an outdoor veranda table at... More

I went here with my 2 kids before the long weekend. We were served by Barnaby (not Joyce) and it was an experience and an education all in one. Barnaby was wonderfully attentive despite being busy serving the whole restaurant and also provided some wine pouring advice. The food was divine. Just enough and the taste was great. It was... Enjoyed lunch here last Sunday with my wife and was very impressed by the skill of the chef on display. The balance of flavours in all three courses was superb. I enjoyed the Barra main and my wife had lamb. The staff looked after us well, the setting in the winery was picturesque and relaxing, with the choice of wines... More

We ventured a little further from home to visit 'The Kitchen Door Restaurant @ Penny's Hill winery on Su day. We were certainly well looked after, despite the large number of diners. A long luxurious lunch with a gorgeous Penny Hill Cabernet Sauvignon accompaniment was just the ticket on a cold, miserable Sunday arvo. Comfortable seating with a nice sized... More

The Kitchen Door at Penny's Hill Winery is fantastic. We have always driven past this winery but decided to try it on my last day of leave. Don't just drive past this place, pull in and have a very relaxing lunch and a few excellent wines. The views are fantastic and the staff are excellent.

Description
'The Kitchen Door' Restaurant offers two distinct dining experiences. Regional, seasonal and affordable underpin the philosophy of dining in 'Gedney Room' or on 'Drew's Verandah'. Both spaces overlook the post and rail fences of the Suffolk sheep paddocks, a vista not available from any CBD eatery. 'The Kitchen Door' Restaurant was awarded the National Restaurant & Catering Awards title of "Best Restaurant in a Winery" in 2007 and again in 2013 as well as the South Australian title in 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2013.
