In a corner of the quirky Kuranda marketplace is a whacky slice of Germany where you can get beer and würst, served by a lovable eccentric German man who absolutely loves what he does and meeting people. The German music playing is pretty cheesy but adds to the fun of the place. I'll be back.

We walked by many places and decided on this gem. And it was divine. We ordered a Thuringer Bratwurst on a roll and a soda. It was huge and delicious. Wedidnot leave a club. This is not a pretentious place just simple with great food. Highly recommend one stop for a brat and a beer.

Basic German tucker served instantly, with a cheerful genuine friendly approach, possibly a joke, and always a most uplifting experience. Oh! and there is beer!!

Great food at a very reasonable price. Very relaxed. The owners are friendly and helpful. The music is atrocious German music and adds to the experience, keep it up. Loved it so much we went back again a week later and ate some more. A big thanks to the 'manic German', I said I'd write you up.

This quaint town was full of surprises including a German café which was attracting curious visitors who may never have the authentic experience.

If it's a tasty Bratwurst you're after (on a bun or with a salad), some kraut and onions on the side, washed down with some good German Weis Beer then this is the place for you. It comes to the accompaniment of a bit of good old OOMPAH beerhall music and very friendly and engaging staff. The only thing that... More

If you like your snags then this is a visit not to be missed. Original German bratwurst with kraut, yummy. Very reasonably priced and soooo good. We come back next time. Great day out in Kuranda.

Very basic German dogs with sauerkraut. $7.5 for one and its good to have something different to eat in Kuranda other than fish n chips/burgers/steaks. Been to Germany before and tried so many true German dogs but sauerkraut here needs a much stronger flavour, which makes the dogs German instead of just another ordinary dog ! And definitely needs to... More
