A lovely tea house restaurant, surrounded by Daintree trees. They specialize in local Barramundi. Meals enjoyed by all. Kids had crepes for dessert, and I had a Devonshire tea - yummo!

This restaurant is a must-do in the Daintree. A relaxing and beautiful rainforest setting where you'll enjoy the most exquisite barramundi possible. All of this is enhanced by the friendliness and great service from your hosts, Richard and Peter. We can't wait to go back!

Loved sitting in a rainforest to have lunch. Two different types of barramundi, both cooked beautifully!

We have been coming to Richard and Peter's lovely restaurant since it opened in 1980. The service is still wonderful and the lunchtime barra special in a must. The prawns in mango sauce is also an old fav.

Four of us had lunch here, each with a different choice, and all were nearly perfect..... as were the bowl (make that 2!) of chips. Everything is cooked to order and couldn't be more fresh, so if you are in a hurry, choose elsewhere. Good food is worth waiting for!

The barramundi burgers were sensational, so were the hot chips! It set the bar high for other barra burgers we ate in the area over the next week and this was by far the best!

My family and I recently had lunch at the Daintree Tea House. We enjoyed our meals, good steak, very tasty fish, the service was good and the setting lush being nestled on the edge of the rainforest. Scones were delicious but could have benefited from some tropical jam, Rosella or Davidson Plum would have taken them to another level, you... More

On our first visit we had, Daintree Tea with scones, jam and cream - delightful - well served tea, hot and fresh. The scones - light and fluffy with tasty jam and whipped cream. Served in the covered open area next to formal restaurant with soft music in the background. We then had lunch the next day, pleasant friendly table... More
