Purposely detoured to have lunch here on long drive from North Queensland. The views are amazing.....the same can't be said for the cafe. We waited at the counter for several minutes before even being acknowledged by the lady on the other side. It was then another minute before she served us. It took a while for a simple coffee to... Great views of Bowen from the observation decks available. Nice food available but table delivery was very slow. We waited nearly 45 minutes for our drinks and food to arrive.

Make it your first port of call when you get to Bowen so that you can orientate yourself. Views over The Whitsundays and back over town, spectacular.

Visited for breakfast, waited over 20minutes for two milkshakes and over an hour for two average meals. The cafe wasn't even busy.

This lookout is certainly worth the drive up, spectacular views over Bowen, lots of chairs to sit and enjoy the scenery. The only let down was the cafe up there. Terrible coffee, awful rock hard scones and poor service. This could be a gold mine if it had good management & better food

This is a little gem of a cafe offering delicious selection of meals at a very reasonable price. Smoothies to die for. Friendly service and wonderful views from outdoor eating areas. Some great artwork on the walls by local artists. Part of the Flagstaff Hill Interpretive Centre.

25 minutes to get a cappucino !!! Though there was not so many people up there and two ladies serving. That was terrible, and there's no air conditioning if you want to sit with a view.

A Lovely atmosphere with good food and great staff. At the time we were there the service was a little slow but that was due to the popularity of the of this café, but why would you hurry when you have a great view over the region? We loved the generous servings of food that tasted great. We will be... More

If you are visiting Bowen don't miss the flagstaff hill lookout. You get a 360 degree lookout of the most spectacular view of the bay and outlying islands and it also looks back on the town of Bowen. The cafe has a good menu and is reasonably priced. Informative signs tell you about the history off the area.
