We visited 9 Sep, early morning (0945). Parking was easy and the cafe has plenty of tables and space for kids.
We found the menus and took a seat at a table, after a short time i went to the counter to order. I stood at the counter for 5 mins even though a member of staff had identified I was standing there, he continued to wipe the prep area down.
Another staff member then identified i was waiting to order and informed me she would be with me soon. We ordered avo smash, coffee and a iced chocolate. The food was excellent, the best breakfast of the entire holiday; however, the coffee (latte) was close to the worst we had during the trip, it tasted like to milk had been over heated and the iced chocolate was just a chocolate milkshake with 4 ice cubes placed in the glass, it was very underwhelming.

The food ,staff and atmosphere of this beautiful Cafe is one of a kind .
The menu has beautiful healthy food for most dietary requirements and the coffee and smoothies are so delicious. Kelly is such a beautiful and hard working lady and her staff are also very kind and hard working . This place is something very special and I always felt happy going to this beautiful little Cafe.
Please do yourself a favour and pop in and see the beautiful lady's and treat yourself with a yummy coffee and cake .

Been wanting to come here ever since I have heard of it and finally made it. Unfortunately I didnt try a creation jar, but the pumpkin waffles were delicious, as was the banana smoothie. The place was full (including a party behind curtains), but my order came quickly and it seemed popular with locals. It was a little noisy, but that is just the nature of the space. Overall, a good visit

Arrived with big expectations for food that missed filling even a quarter of those expectations, let alone my stomach. Waited over 45 minutes for a small toasted sandwich costing $10 that would meet size guidelines for a tapas plate. The pictures from social
media falsely advertise big food expectations. I was going to bring my family but I won’t make the trip now.

Times aren’t as advertised. Arrived at 1:30pm for lunch and were told they close at 2pm and won’t be serving anything than drinks for pastries from the cabinet.
They turned my friend and I away and a group of 7 in front of us. We all walked across the road to Gallery 5 and had wonderful food and service.
I used to travel with visitors to Atherton up to Petals and Pinecones for breakfast, brunch and lunch. But I’m very disappointed to travel 1.5hrs to be told they’re not serving lunch at 1:30pm. Next time I’ll be going straight to Gallery 5 great food, service and venue happy to accept anyway at 1:30pm.

Travelled over 40min with a desire for a great breakfast in Atherton.
This place looked great online!
Was very disappointed to find that Petals and Pinecones was shut despite their website/Facebook saying was open. We tried to call ahead (line engaged).
Can the owners please update for other travellers.

Beautiful space however not what it used to be. We went to Petals & Pinecones on the 10.01.24 and waited 40mins for a pre-made toastie to be heated up out of the fridge and 1hr 20mins for two Creation shakes. Both looked nice however milkshake was hot and tasteless. Very disappointing. There was only one other table of 6 people there and they were still getting their drinks that they ordered before us after we got our drinks. Was 4 staff member (2 in kitchen and 2 in front of house) so they were definitely not understaffed.
My partner and I had both been to Petals about 6 years ago when they were in their old shop and it was amazing! Great staff, upbeat environment and great customer service and great coffee, drinks & food. It is definitely not that way anymore.
I’m not sure if we got them on an off day however the town of Atherton was really busy and all other cafes were really busy so I’m thinking that since new management it operates like this all the time.

A pretty little cafe with quaint furnishings and decor. There was not a great selection of cakes and sweet treats to have with my coffee but I settled on a brownie and mug of flat white for $10 deal. Coffee was OK but the service was SO slow :-(

It's a couple of years since I visited Petals and Pinecones. It has now been taken over by new people. Used to be very special with delicious food. It's now dreadful...in fact my friend and I didn't bother to stay and eat....reason... dirty floor, dirty dishes everywhere on tables and there were only two other tables occupied. Food menu cut right down. Never go back!

Booked a high tea bridal shower at P & P. Was amazing. Loved the shabby chic decor. The tables were decorated beautifully. The food was plentiful and delicious. Punch was delicious and coffee excellent. Great service and atmosphere for this event. Highly recommend for a a small group event.
The price was very affordable

Great little cafe tucked away but worth seeking out. Cosy and comfy, great service and lovely menu. Best coffee in Atherton by far.

Wonderful little Cafe tucked away so a little hard to find for a non local but totally worth it, a must do for you and the kids as the coffee is great, decor beautiful and shakes are out of this world :)

I had an expectation from social media that this cafe was a place where ‘over the top’ was the norm and the interior was exceptional. I really looked forward to visiting. Imagine how underwhelmed I was when, after 15mins I received an average long black with no crema. After a similar wait the $16 ‘Avo addict’ appeared, no serviette, the thinnest layer of avocado possible on two meagre and very thin, cold soggy pieces of sour dough. All this while looking at the dirty dishes of the previous occupants of the table (as all the other customers were). In fairness, the place was busy and the staff did warn in advance about the delay and apologised for the wait. No tables were cleared anywhere and as a result, it’s no surprise that furniture and lounge chairs are very soiled and sticky.

After recommendations from friends, was looking forward to indulging at this little restaurant but when we arrived it was closed with a sign on the door saying that it was for sale :(
So just saving you the trip . . . for now anyway . . .

The heavily sugar-biased menu is problematic for Type 2 Diabetics like me; strike 1.
The vegetarian/vegan breakfast that I ordered, once the (canned!) black beans came out, was only notable for having a good non-dairy cheese ingredient, but even then, not much of that; strike 2.
My wife's "Pancakes with Fresh Fruit" turned out to be commercial flapjacks topped with frozen berries (still not thawed) and canned whipped cream; strike 3. OUT!
