This is visit number two to Wombat Hill House. This time I'm staying for breakfast. While I could have chosen to sit by the fire, 'outside' seemed more appealing at the time. There are gas heaters and protection from the rain currently falling as I make my way through granola and cappuccino. There's no fruit toast today, but maybe homemade... More

Two families had a long overdue catch up here this autumn weekend just gone. This was the perfect place for just that - simple but delicious food was served by friendly staff (provided plenty of pencils/paper and then pointed out animals hidden in the mural on the walls - cool!). It was cosy inside on a crisp, but sunny day... More

Very tasty carrot cake (be warned.....huge serving); moist and delicious pear & pecan friand and 2 excellent coffees. This is a comfortable cafe to be in; nicely dressed and inviting. Has courtyard seating available as well. Quick service too.

We have eaten here before and chose it for our Mother's Day breakfast. Overall it was a flat and disappointing experience. Nothing special in either decoration or food. Heating was not on, our waiter could not have been "less interested" in us or our experience and the food was not presented with any love !! All eggs were over cooked,... More

Mothers Day was a particularly busy day and our team were doing their best to accommodate all guests and not leave anyone disappointed. We thank you for your comments. Let us look into it. We've been receiving great feedback on all the items of the new menu. However we take your comments really seriously and will chat to the chefs... More

A small cafe set in beautiful surroundings. The food is very good. The highlight was the Avocado toast which all of us absolutely loved, the balance of the avocado with wild rice and perfectly paoched egg on a thick crusty bread is just divine. The banana bread is subtle but flavorful. The chickpea and roast cauliflower salad is robust and... More

It is a small park but worth making the trip. We came in Autumn and the colours were fantastic and the view across the town were well worth the trip

Cute little cafe, but clearly too busy to cope with a wedding brunch, and the kitchen was open and very loud.

Thanks for visiting our Wombat Hill House cafe. Weekends do get busy in our neck of the woods; however we hope that the lovely gardens are an opportunity to escape the crowds and find a private spot. Thursday, Friday and Monday are always a little quieter. More

My hubby and I visited wombat hill house for a late lunch and it was a treat. Their corned beef Ruben was delicious and so too was the pumpkin pizza special. We then took in the beautiful grounds as we went for a stroll after lunch. Great way to spend some time.

Such a beautiful setting and so many seating options inside and out. Varied menu with very interesting choices to be had for a large or small lunch. We very much enjoyed our meals and visit.

Love fresh, creative food sourced from local environment. Like so many food outlets in Daylesford the Wombat Hill Cafe set in same name Botanical Gardens produces the goods. Featuring a blackboard menu of specials plus display of homemade bakery treats, fresh juices this gorgeous cafe really delivers. My favorite dish after two visits was the cauliflower, quinoa and almond fritter... More
