Popular in east grinstead for dining and take away Above average in price Downside they seem to rush you out of dining if they are busy As bums on seats quickly is more profit So they try to rush you Good for take aways

The Nizam has been in East Grinstead for over 25 years and we have visited about once a month over all those years (and more often for a takeaway). We have always been made welcome by Mr Choudhury and his staff. The food seems to have been going downhill for a while now - for instance, tough and stringy tandoori... More

Great venue for our Football social event. Rauf was very helpful and ensured all food was served within a reasonable time frame. After taking the order at lunchtime, the food that came out was spot on and delicious. Highly recommend for large groups.

We went to Nizam as our other curry house was fully booked (on a Wednesday) We were early and so we were the only people when we arrived. Over the time of the meal another dozen people arrived. The selection of curry's was reasonable but was lacking in the number of specials of the restaurant. The Cobra was on draft... More

We as a couple go to this restaurant when we want an Indian meal . It's the best in the town . The meals are always piping hot and the staff are very friendly. They also do a takeaway service and is just as good . Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to everyone.

Food excellent and the staff are so helpful with guidance for choice if you need it We do not go out to Indian restaurants for a smart contemporary atmosphere. Nizam has a wonderfully friendly atmosphere and is very authentic and true to the culture. The wine list is fairly comprehensive with good value in the mid range Everyone is so... More

This has always been our favourite Indian restaurant in East Grinstead. The decor etc is excellent but our meal was so disappointing. Chicken Tikka dry and tough, very limp salad accompaniment, Palak Chicken also tough and over cooked. I have never seen such small prawns in the prawn korma. They were miniscule shrimp although the korma sauce was delicious. The... More

I organised a 'mum's curry night' at the Nizam and from start to finish Rauf and the team couldn't have been more helpful! We were a fairly large group (20 in total) and the numbers kept changing so I did have to change the food quantities on more than one occasion prior to the meal which was never too much... More

The Nizam Sam East Grinstead is our default restaurant. It's just an automatic choice when we want to have an Indian meal in pleasant surroundings. It's housed in a beautiful old timbered Elizabethan building in the High Street. From the outside it looks small, but inside it's enormous yet because of the nature of the building, it's full of nuts... More

A high end restaurant with lots of character in an unusual town like East Grinstead. We live in a nearby village and are spoilt for choice when it come to eating out for Indian food, but having been disappointed by all four Indian eaters from South Godstone to Lingfield a friend recommended us to Nizam and for the past six...
