Stayed in the Premier Inn a couple of weekends ago and the Beefeater is next door. We had a lovely meal, I had Lamb steak with Dauphinois potatoes, kale cherry tomatoes and red wine jus, my other half had a rump steak, we both had deserts which were lovely, can't fault it. The breakfast the next 2 mornings were lovely,... More

Waited after ordering dinner at the BEEFEATER for 45 minutes for the food to come, had a member of staff come to ask us if everything was ok and would we like to order dessert? We said we haven't even had main course yet and its been 40 minutes! When it arrived the child's meal was cold, presumably been waiting... More

After waiting an hour for our meal, we were asked how we wanted our meat cooked. Out of 7 adult portions (very small they were too) none were cooked to what was ordered. I have never had meat so tough!! I can even say that it was difficult to determine if it was lamb. The table service was not good.... More

Visited on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was very busy, the food we ordered was very nice, but the service was very slow, not enough staff on duty for a full restaurant. The food made up for the visit but please get more staff on.

Today we came for lunch before going to Northampton to a show. Very sad to say that it was not good at all.We ordered a starter of meatballs in tomato sauce.Only 5 meatballs and a tiny bit of sauce. We told the waitress who said she would tell the Chef. This was after we had eaten it.This was at 12am. I had... More

The service was very good and the waiting time was totally acceptable. The meal for both my wife and myself was excellent. My wife had chicken escalopes and fries whilst I had a mixed grill and triple cooked chips. When it arrived it looked like we may struggle to eat it all, but it was so nice we could not... More

We went for lunch on a week day. Food was only just warm. My "well done" steak was slightly pink inside, also not as tasty as they used to be. No one asked if the meal was ok and plates weren't collected when we had finished! They only bother with you if you are in the restaurant, yet we are... More

My this place has gone downhill , I'm trying to see what they did on the refurb, it's got pricey but the food has gone down hill too, wasn't good. Also I won't be returning after that food and paying £9 for a bottle of Coke and a glass of wine

I've been a few times and whilst I cannot fault the quality of the food, I don't feel you really get the best value for money. The menu, whilst all good standard isn't very adventurous and is quite expensive for what you get, to be honest it's not much different from a Faye and Square just 40% more expensive. Loyalty...
