Really enjoyed our Sunday carvery here today, good food, well cooked, simple but good. Excellent value. Ample juicy cuts of meat with a plentiful supply of Veg and Yorkie Puds The staff in the pub are great friendly and helpful.

Drink is adequate, however I would not like to eat here and definitely not stay here if the toilets in the pub are anything to go by. Ladies toilets were old and in desperate need of repair and upgrading. Mens toilets, I obviously did not...More

Friendly, helpful staff but food not great. Is ok if you're looking for reasonably priced everyday food.

Went to try the carvery on a Sunday lunch time. Priced fairly cheap compared to other local places offering a carvery (Watermill and moor & pheasant) but the quality was just ok. Nothing special, will not be rushing back. Atmosphere is a little lacking.

They struggled with a large party of over 30.The food came out slowly with some finished before others had started.

Excellent location, opposite Thirsk station and close to the racecourse. Pleasant staff whilst we had a drink waiting for a taxi to town. Very quiet at this Lunchtime. Would not rush back but clearly other reviews suggest food is good.

Simply delicious and worth every penny. The food was plentiful and we were well looked after by the chef despite being late.

Had a lovely Sunday dinner they managed to squeeze us in despite been really busy, which in itself speaks volumes. And the food itself was lovely will be back!
