Well what can I say - the pub were brilliant! They made my evening go off with a big party atmosphere which you may only find in Yorkshire. Everything went smoothly and efficiently - the pub and its staff are second to none. Attentive to detail, welcoming and friendly made my party such a memorable occasion. Dave, Jem, and all... More

Ordered fish pie & fish & chips as party of two. Food arrived and was well cooked and presented, extremely polite staff. Fish was little on small side but other wise a good experience in a lovely pub, thanks.

Nothing further to add from all the positive reviews - just fabulous place. We've been going here since the new proprietor took over, usually on a Saturday lunch time and always enjoyed our food. Lovely home cooked, locally sourced food, always presented nicely, staff very professional and attentive. Today we went for Sunday lunch and once again we were not... More

Visited as a party of four having heard that ownership had changed this year. Our greeting on arrival was friendly and welcoming. The menu gave a nice choice with not too large a selection - which is a good thing. The choices we made did not disappoint, the food was well presented, tasty and we could not fault it. Service... Food was really good. Menu not too big, with a selection so as to suit most people. Really well presented and cooked. Service very good, waiting staff and proprietor very attentive and helpful. Lovely feel about the place, plenty of room to move around and relax in. If you are in the area i highly recommend it. If you look... More

Recently had the pleasure to stumble upon the Buck Inn as part of a family get together. We were probably not the easiest party, but the welcome, the food, the service and the overall experience were faultless. Great English food with presentation & tastes that were more Michelin than Maunby (:-) I'd love to have been able to spend more... More

Following a surprise train journey at Leeming, my uncle found The Buck on the Internet and booked for us to eat there afterwards. There were 19 of us, the management had kindly emailed menu's in advance which should have made things easier, but we were very late and there were less of us than we booked for due to unforseen... My wife and I visited on a Friday night. Booked late in the afternoon but needn't have bothered as we were the only ones in when we arrived at 7:30pm. About 4 more people came after us but I was surprised how quiet it was for a Friday night. It is a bit off the beaten track so not somewhere... More

A great little pub, with a country atmosphere and even a log fire for winter. The food was tasty and enjoyable. There is a small friendly bar, where we ate, but I have also eat in the restaurant area which is also great. Worth a diversion from your journey.
