A great little pub, with a country atmosphere and even a log fire for winter. The food was tasty and enjoyable. There is a small friendly bar, where we ate, but I have also eat in the restaurant area which is also great. Worth a diversion from your journey.

We returned to the Buck Inn for another fantastic meal, this time for our wedding anniversary. The staff are attentive and service is excellent. The rump of lamb was particularly good, but a shame that the black pudding starter was not on the menu. Highly recommended.

This is a delightful picturesque pub with glorious hanging baskets set in a small village off the beaten track. The spacious bar has a number of comfortable leather arm chairs and a large fireplace. The tastefully decorated restaurant is divided into 2 with a large conservatory. The menu is an excellent example of creative cookery covering a reasonable range of... More

Dined Saturday night. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere Excellent food and service Well worth worth the trip. Particularly enjoyed the lamb and chips are delicious. Pub classic meals are available too. Portions plentiful. Great value. Only suggestion was that starters are in mainly salad based. Whilst tasty would have preferred something more substantial i.e. Soup or dish with black pudding. Certainly... More

As we arrived we were welcomed with a very warm greeting before having our drinks orders taken. Once seated we had a friendly waitress who quickly took our orders. The pub was quiet at first but soon became more lively, creating a great atmosphere. The food was perfect and only took about 20 minutes to arrive. The twice-cooked chips were... More

My in-laws live in Maunby and we try and support the local pub when we visit them . I understand The Buck Inn has fairly recently been taken on by new independent owners and the chef has worked in France. Various family groups have been there for lunches of late and we would highly recommend as we are are all... More

We have visited this establishment several times and on the last two occasions with our trusty hound. This is a very dog friendly establishment. Those without a dog and wish to partake of the fine cuisine can do so sit in the restaurant which is on a different level and those who wish to bring along their pooch can sit... More
