My in-laws live in Maunby and we try and support the local pub when we visit them . I understand The Buck Inn has fairly recently been taken on by new independent owners and the chef has worked in France. Various family groups have been there for lunches of late and we would highly recommend as we are are all... More

We have visited this establishment several times and on the last two occasions with our trusty hound. This is a very dog friendly establishment. Those without a dog and wish to partake of the fine cuisine can do so sit in the restaurant which is on a different level and those who wish to bring along their pooch can sit... More

My other half and I spent Friday evening with friends and their daughters at the Buck. The pub was very welcoming, nice service and the food was amazing. We had a range of food with one person having sea trout on pea risotto - spot on! The more traditional fish and chips were perfect and the portion was large. Steak,... More

Each time we have eaten here the food has been very good so we have kept coming back. The landlord and staff are friendly and welcoming even when the pub is busy. The menu is reasonably priced with a good choice. Fish and chips is an excellent choice as is the fish pie.

My self and my partner visited on Sunday, and were greeted by the new manager and one member of the bar staff. We were instantly served and offered menus, the food was absolutely exceptional, even for Sunday dinners which we aren't usually keen on, this was just wonderful. From the food to the setting and the staff, absolutely lovely place... More

was staying in Northallerton and wanted to visit some country pubs. All the ones we visited were not quaint until we found this one located in a hamlet. The new owner had only recently taken over the public house. It was full of charm and interesting furnishings which were comfortable and original. The menu looked appetizing but we had already... I recently ate here with a couple of colleagues for an evening meal its a lovely place. Food was delicious, we were welcomed by the landlord and staff very well. I ate the fish and chips and ordered a kids portion and it didn't disappoint. The fresh fish was from Whitby and it was delicious, my fellow diners ate the... More
