Very dated decor, the whole place is still set in the 1980s but the food.... you can't fault it. Great quality and very generous portions. The whole place just needs updating. Would I go back.... Yes because the food was great.

My husband and I went for a meal here last Friday evening. What a great experience we had from walking into the quaint little cottage, being served refreshing nicely chilled drinks (not flat like some places). Our order was taken whilst we sat having our drinks. We were taken through to the restaurant when our first course was ready, which... More

I visited The Cottage Restaurant for Sunday lunch with my two daughters, the soup is to die for! We enjoyed Gammon and Beef with Roast Potatoes, Homemade chips, new potatoes, carrots, peas and cabbage. There were a good selection of desserts which we all enjoyed with served with cream, ice cream or custard. Will definitely visit again!

We ate in here on a Tuesday and it was a little quiet as would be expected. We were welcomed and asked to wait in the little bar and choose our food. We had our choice from the set menu and all of the food was excellent.

One day later and I still can’t make this place out. Reasonable parking availability, you then tackle a warren of corridors and rooms. Eventually made it to the bar where the hostess took our drinks order after informing us we couldn’t order them from our dinner table for the time being. Strange. We were then left for 20 minutes or... More

We visited this restaurant following a weekend in Kegworth and I must say what an amazing find. We were welcomed by the Spanish owner Lolita who we remembered from her previous restaurant, The Costa Brava in Leicester some 25 odd years ago. We both tried some of her home made Sangria which was delicious. We ordered our meal and then... More

I visited the Cottage as part of a 9 strong party with ages ranging from 22 to 84. We sat in one of the two bar areas and had a drink whilst looking over the menu. The Menu is varied but not extensive. Most of us chose the various steaks and sauces. All that could be heard around the table... More

We went to the restaurant as a party of six. The decor looked dated but the food was delicious, hot and the service was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good choice of food, including vegetarian. Restaurant used local produce - locally baked bread was superb.

Quite busy yet the girls working could handle all the tables from the looks of things. The owner is lovely and very inviting. The food amazing and very filling, couldn't fault anything. Can't wait to go back!
