Great central location, close to bus stop and only a short taxi (cost us £7.00) from Hope train station. You don't need a car to come and enjoy the countryside here! The apartment was small and cosy, ideal for the two of us. Very creaky...More

We popped in here for lunch after visiting the caverns. A warm welcome with two good plates of food, the watercress and potato soup and cauliflower gratin. We didn’t try the cakes but they looked superb. Nicely decorated, bright and airy.

Very busy, but staff cheerful and helpful. Tables cleared, cleaned and relaid quickly. Good hearty fare, decent portions, freshly prepared. Excellent pot of tea. Well worth the stop.

The green pesto chicken dish is excellent. The service is swift and friendly. Just the right place for a stop after walking the hills around Castleton and Hope.
