Visited twice during a short break as it was so good. Food was excellent on both occasions - all very fresh and tasty. Authentic Italian with a great menu and good wine options.

We had a family walk on Mam Tor and had booked this place for lunch. It was a great choice! We were the only ones in but I think it mainly caters for the evening trade. The food is fantastic and probably my favourite meal of 2016. The blackcurrant ice cream is to die for! Five of us with drinks... More

Having read all the reviews we thought this place was the one to eat in. At least they had heating this time. When we visited before we had to keep our coats on! Yes it was the same time of year. The portions were small. Side dishes were available but pricey.

Our second visit here, and unfortunately a second disappointment. Nice atmosphere, and good quality food, but overpriced and undersized !

Last minute decision. We wanted to dine at 8 but there was no availability until 9 so had to kill an hour around town. Eventually sat down about 9.20 we didn't mind as we are never disappointed with the food here, it's worth waiting for. The lamb chop lollipops, anti pasti, seafood linguini, risotto delicious. It's a lovely little restaurant... More

This is the third time we have visited this restaurant. We stay in Castleton each year on the last Friday in December. Our first visit in 2014 was enjoyable and consisted of a party of 10 family members (all adults) Last year, not so enjoyable as the owner was not so friendly but we had a toddler with us who... Looked at the menu outside and saw several dishes that appealed to me, which does not happen often to a vegetarian! The food was reasonably priced and exceeded expectations: very tasty, plentiful, all freshly-cooked and beautifully presented. The staff were all really knowledgeable about the food on the menu, and were very attentive and friendly. Great evening out. Definitely want... More

Very busy village with a good pubs and an excellent restaurant. Make sure you book early as this place is the only fine dining place in the area. Good food, hospitality and service in an old quaint building. Well done all.

This is a very nice restaurant in the village of Castleton. The restaurant is nicely decorated in a modern style, spaciously laid out yet cosy too. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food is mainly Italian themed (pasta, pizza etc.) and is very good too. We had a pleasant relaxing evening here. Check the opening days / hours over... More
