This is our 3rd visit to the Peak District and out 3rd visit to this amazing restaurant. Alicia is such a hard working person and she never fails to impress us with her memory. She serves us so well each time and the ambience is so perfect for a quiet dinner. I brought my husband here last night for his... More

We come here on a regular basis and we thoroughly enjoy it. It's a great Italian and there's so many options you can choose from, from pats to tapas amongst other dishes. We really enjoy coming here and it's reasonably priced! We got 3 soft drinks, one starter and 2 mains and it came to £33! We will be back... More

A dark January night, so we were looking forward to a meal out with friends at a new venue. The restaurant is in an old building which has been tastefully renovated, and the general ambiance is warm and welcoming. The waitresses (two of them) were friendly, and the food was decent though not outstanding. One waitress then presumably clocked off,... More

We visited midweek and although for a while we were the only people in there, we didn't feel awkward and the restaurant was cosy. I had emailed the restaurant via the website earlier in the day to ask if we could just drop in or if we had to book. I got a speedy reply from Alicia which was nice... More

Visited twice during a short break as it was so good. Food was excellent on both occasions - all very fresh and tasty. Authentic Italian with a great menu and good wine options.

We had a family walk on Mam Tor and had booked this place for lunch. It was a great choice! We were the only ones in but I think it mainly caters for the evening trade. The food is fantastic and probably my favourite meal of 2016. The blackcurrant ice cream is to die for! Five of us with drinks... More

Having read all the reviews we thought this place was the one to eat in. At least they had heating this time. When we visited before we had to keep our coats on! Yes it was the same time of year. The portions were small. Side dishes were available but pricey.

Our second visit here, and unfortunately a second disappointment. Nice atmosphere, and good quality food, but overpriced and undersized !

Last minute decision. We wanted to dine at 8 but there was no availability until 9 so had to kill an hour around town. Eventually sat down about 9.20 we didn't mind as we are never disappointed with the food here, it's worth waiting for. The lamb chop lollipops, anti pasti, seafood linguini, risotto delicious. It's a lovely little restaurant... More

This is the third time we have visited this restaurant. We stay in Castleton each year on the last Friday in December. Our first visit in 2014 was enjoyable and consisted of a party of 10 family members (all adults) Last year, not so enjoyable as the owner was not so friendly but we had a toddler with us who...
