I'm not sure what has gone on here. Have been several times over the last 4 years and always been fairly pleased - although never overwhelmed. The food is tasty and well cooked, but the portion sizes are just very VERY small and with the fairly high prices you can't help but feel that you have been totally robbed and... More

I brought my Mum and child for a meal here; based on hearing nothing but good reviews about the place. I seldom eat out and feel satisfied with both the service and the quality of food but this has to be an exception of my cynicism. Absolutely top notch! Hats off to everyone involved. Beautifully presented food and service standards... More

My 'seabass ' was a joke. They clearly didn't have any. It looked like a kipper. It was smaller than I would have served a young child. Veg and potatoes were for two on a tiny serving dish. Then they tried to charge us for alcohol when we had tap water. I had to eat left overs when I got... More

We have eaten here three times in the last 3 months. And each time the food has got gradually worse. This time I ordered Lamb Loin. I was presented with a Rack of Lamb and told this was Loin. The chips were oven chips. The potatoes were dry and shouldn't have been served at all. The veg was a disgrace... More

The owner Jad is a good host and will try to accommodate any particular likes or dislikes oand Jad will and goes out of his way to welcome you and will talk you through the menu. The food is generous in portion size and tasty but a bit on the pricey side for a village pub.

Popped in for a special occasion and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. My OH loves corner tables, no problem. Was able to enjoy a drink by the fireside whilst browsing the menu. OH has food allergies which was communicated and understood so no nasty surprises later. The Gambas my OH were delicious, I went for the game... More

Expensive cheese and tomato Baguette at £8.95. Bread tasted Stale. Toasted Beef Sandwich at £8.95 and the Sharma was a small portion, we felt like for £30.00 it was a starter. No atmosphere but when we complained about the food the waitress said " the owner has gone to sleep" and did nothing to rectify our unhappiness with the meal.
