First time in here and I thought it rather expensive. It was clean and well set out and a varied menu. But they're the only plus points. Staff could have been friendlier too. Probably won't return.

Lovely little tea rooms on the A6 at Belper - ideally located for a walk around both the town & the river gardens . Friendly helpful staff & a lovely cooked breakfast. Excellent tasting coffee too . Added bonus it’s dog friendly too xx

Dropped in with a friend, heard great reviews so we thought we'd try the cooked breakfast. My tea cup was a bit tarnished with tea stains, but the staff were quick to replace . Our breakfast was very fresh and tasty, we'll defiantly pop in...More

Wow. I’ve visited Gillivon tea rooms 4 or 5 times trying to catch them out with scones that aren’t fresh but I’ve failed! They are amazing every single time! Literally soft enough to lay your tired head on and sleep. I’m definitely heading back there...More

Thought I’d try here again, after not being impressed years ago, only to find that things had not improved. The vegetarian option sausages are disgusting. Not the sort you use in a breakfast cob. Cheesy mash potato and leeks in a cob??? What should have...More

I am genuinely sorry you had a disappointing experience - it really is a shame that you said nothing at the time of your visit, as you could have afforded me the chance to make it a more positive experience. Clearly, the vegetarian sausages we...More

Has a wonderful lunch here, stayed with amazing cardamom tea and then a fish-finger granary cob up there with the best of all fish-finger butties. Rounded off with a perfect scone. Lovely staff, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, highly recommended!

Good evening. I’m afraid our toilet isn’t wheelchair accessible as there are 2 steps up to it (although there is a handrail) but once in, there is room for a person + a support person if that is necessary. I’m not sure if... More
