We visited The Light House last Friday evening, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was really lovely, it was so very welcoming and cosy on that cold night. We loved sitting by the log fire with our variant of G&Ts to begin. The food, and drink were all top class, the food was gorgeous and so delicious. The taster... More

We went for the first time last night. We were told it was very good but were not sure what to expect, we were certainly not disappointed. Not easy to find especially at night but we made it in good time. It is well laid out with a large log burner in the corner, it is not large, about forty... More

Wow, what a wonderful surprise, the Lighthouse Restaurant in Boylestone south Derbyshire, tucked away behind the Rose & Crown pub is a true jewel in the County’s crown. The dining area, which seats probably around 40 or so, is modern well executed barn conversion with a bar area and open view through to the kitchen beyond. First impressions were of... More

This was a birthday treat midweek and it sure did not disappoint. Staff were lovely, very friendly and kind. The food was superb and I honestly couldn't believe the price. We are so used to paying at least 100/150 per person for that quality of food. The flavours were fantastic and the final course was very special. The atmosphere was... More

Had our third visit in December and still as good as ever. Allow plenty of time for the tasting menu which is as good as anywhere in London. The downside is we have to wait for tasting menu to be revised... but well worth the wait!

My wife and I had a wonderful time here. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed by the staff who were both friendly and attentive all evening. We had the wine pairing with the meal and the sommelier was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. The wines were excellent too. The food was beautifully presented and matched by the taste, we... We visited the night before New Year's Eve for the six course taster menu 'celebration meal'. Staff were welcoming and very attentive - ever aware of what needed doing and who needed serving. We had some very attractive gin and tonics, and really enjoyed the flight of wines. The portion sizes were what you would expect from a taster menu,... More

I rarely give 5* reviews these days, but for this place there's no hesitation. We had the short taster menu (£35 at the time) and the food was outstanding, as was the service. The other good part was that there was a wide choice of wine at very sensible prices. We combined the visit here to the pub next door... More

The Lighthouse had been recommended, and after reading the reviews, we were excited about visiting - we were not disappointed in the slightest. After finally finding the restaurant on a dark, foggy night - it is down a narrow driveway behind the Rose and Crown pub - we parked up and went it. The room itself is fantastic - looks... More
