We had a lovely welcome at the coach and horses. We are on holiday from Essex, the staff are all very friendly . Can recommend the steak and Stilton pie with home made chips, the burgers and steak all went down well in our group. Will defiantly eat here again .

Lots of choices from main menu but chose a mixed fish platter and it was amazing. We all chose different dishes and all enjoyed the quality of thr food. Atmosphere in the bar and conservatory is very good but can be a bit isolated in the front dining room,as evidence at previous visits.

When visiting the area we always stop here. We were not disappointed, the food ( gammon and rib eye steak) was great, but the portions were to large for us. THE Pedigree beer was good. The staff were very nice as always - we will be going back

Had a really super evening here. The food was super with one of the best veggie options I've eaten in a long time (sweet potato something). The staff were helpful and friendly and there was a nice atmosphere with lots of people enjoying their food and good company. Great!

Relaxed, well decorated and clean. Backed up by lovely grub at reasonable prices! My 11 year old is a fussy eater and they accommodated his strange request and it was the most he'd eaten all week!

We called in for dinner with our two young children during our recent holiday in the area. We had not booked a table but were welcomed and accommodated very quickly despite the pub being busy. The pub is nicely furnished with several rooms/areas so that diners can be accommodated according to their preference (ie. romance for two or chaos with... More

Visited for lunch and the food was top-notch. The publican and his waiting on staff are very friendly. There is a nice selection of beers on tap. The pub has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Would certainly eat there again.

First impressions always count, and you just know you are going to have a good evening when on entering the car park, you are welcomed with a pub that is festooned with colourful hanging baskets and planters. In my mind that always says they care. Having read other rave reviews for this inn, we thought it a good idea to... More

We met up here with some relatives for lunch. It's a lovely old Inn. The menu was excellent and we all found it difficult to make a decision on what to order. We need up with 2 gourmet burgers, 2 hake and a farmhouse platter. The beers and the wine were lovely. The service was friendly, attentive and efficient and... More
