The pub was running a deal 1/2 price meals so quite busy hence probably the reason we didn’t get our drinks until 20 minutes after ordering. My pint of Theskston’s bitter was an excellent brew ! My wife snd I both had the homemade steak...and ale pie, it was delicious. Bill for the two meals plus drinks came to just over £13 , talk about a good deal . Will definitely be back .More

Called there with my family last weekend and was totally amazed, their Sunday Lunch was fantastic along with the service that we received. The staff were all working to Cov'd guidelines and the place was imaculate. Can't wait to go back again in the near...future. Well done to management and staffMore

Have visited The Galloping Horse 3 times now, most recently last weekend. The food is always amazing here, really good quality. Great service, the restaurant is always spotlessly clean. Highly recommend coming here for a meal!

We were on the doorstep at 12 noon for Sunday lunch but weren't the first people to be seated. This reassured us that a Sunday visit here was going to be enjoyable and it didn't disappoint. Three courses for under £16 is top value and...the roast beef was excellent. Having the option for medium rare or well done beef is a nice feature too. The Galloping Horse is stylish, comfortable and has an effective one way covid system too. Wide range of drinks, helpful staff and home cooked food here were all very good.More

Just had Sunday lunch here. I’ve not been here before but will definitely be going back. Beautifully laid out, some lovely paintings and staff were excellent. Had the lamb dinner which was really good and a large glass of Pinot and lemonade. Very easy going...but efficient and helpfulMore

I only had a drink in here but it was a very pleasant pub. I think the emphasis is more on dining but I felt welcome.

Visited on 50% night. Restaurant was very spacious and well decorated. Waitresses all polite and friendly. Ordered steak, lasagne, home made chicken Kiev and kids hot dog. All food was hot, tasty and cooked fresh. Puddings were stick toffee pudding, cheese cake and a choc...brownie. They had ran out of vanilla ice cream but very apologetic and offered strawberry, chocolate or fresh cream instead. Husband asked if they had custard and she said they could make some. We finished with latte and black coffee which again was very tasty. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.More

This is our local eatery and previously have, without a doubt, served the best burgers I'd ever had. Unfortunately the management have decided to massively lessen the portion sizes and quality of the food. Hopefully this is only temporary due to reopening...?More

Yes dogs are allowed, but only in the Shannen's Bar side. To gain access please use the entrance on the northern side, not from the carpark.
