Waited over an hour for food. No communication from staff. Ordered 3 drinks before food came. Steak pie burnt so we returned it! Didn't order another as there was no point as it took over an hour for that one to come!! Use to love this place but won't be returning!!!

We ate there a few nights ago, it was our first time there. On entering it is like going back in time, everything is in need of a huge make over. The staff were very friendly and the food was OK,.

We haven't been for a while as we knew it had changed hands and thought we would give things a chance to settle. We won't go back. The... More

Looking for a dog friendly pub in Whitehaven a lady walking her dogs directed us to here. (Not local to the area we did manage to get lost but eventually find the Briery) A clean large pub with many people eating (always a good sign) Friendly staff and very accommodating. We arrived very close to the lunch menu finishing but... More

Lovely meal at The Briery, 2nd visit in the last month. New owners have now found their feet and it all seems really established. I had fish cake special with chips and salad was delicious. My friend had her usual sweet and sour chicken. Both really tasty. Pleasant girl behind the bar and young guy serving. Lots of choice on... More

Came here as we remembered how good it was the last time we ate here. Lovely food, very fast service, lovely staff and excellent dessert. We will definitely be returning, just hope we don't leave it as long in between.
