The worst chips Ever seen in my life - bought as take away and they went directly into the bin . I just could bring myself to try them 🤢

I was passing & the smell of chips drew me in, I bought fish & chips to eat by the harbour. The fish was just ok, the chips went in the bin, they were burnt & greasy. Had second thoughts when I went in &...More

We decided to visit Arrighi’s as we were in the mood for a chippy lunch whilst in Whitehaven, and, given the big dog-friendly sign outside, we chose to eat in with our dog. I tried to order a cheese and onion pie, but it was...More

Arrighis is a disappointing establishment selling chips and various accompaniments. Beer is served. There is indoor seating at 6 tables (2 of which are by the counters for take-away and feel cramped and very overlooked). Chips were dripping in oil - luckily we had serviettes...More

I'd seen a sign for homemade cheese pie in passing so it prompted me to pop in. Unfortunately I was advised there wasn't any that day so I ended up with a chip butty. The chips were very brown, I don't know if this is...More

It reminds me about fish and chips restaurant / cafe. Few tables to sit, great prices - deliciously looking pastries. Dogs are welcome for me a great advantage. It's located near harbor so perfect for a small sit down cup of tea and a snack.

This is a character listed property of over 400 year old that has recently undergone a major re-furbishment. With a new commercial kitchen, contemporary style furniture, restored original wooden flooring from the deck of a ship and hand painted murals, this is a family business of over 105 years old that is one, if not the oldest, in the Lake District. During the day, downstairs we are a fully licensed bistro style restaurant with traditional Italian style take away fish & chips. In the evening, by prior arrangement, we open to offer a private dining experience. We are not like the other restaurants in the area with a large busy bar. Our ambition is to remain very small and exclusive. We can cater for between 2 and 12 people each evening with the facility becoming yours. For larger parties, you have your own chief and waitress. We offer a standard menu but prefer to design a menu of seafood and steaks as you prefer. We offer a fine wine list, some beers and a selection of fine Scottish malt whiskey.
