Had a great experience here, the owner was friendly, service was very good too. Really enjoyed our meal, no complaints at all. Stayed over and had a fabulous full english breakfast, huge portions.

We turned up at this pub a little off track on the Cumbrian Way. Steve the publican was charming and very kind with a typically British sense of humour. Allowed to take our dog in (who was rewarded for his good behaviour by a biscuit from the landlord). They have a small outdoor patio area although it was a... More

Went out to the Red Lion as a couple for a meal to celebrate my husband's birthday. Never actually gone into the pub before....only walked past as it is on the Keswick to Barrow walk route. Quite a small menu, however we both managed to find something we fancied and the food itself was good and reasonably priced. Good service... More

We used to come to this pub regularly around 20 years ago when were on holiday in the Lake District with our parents, the food then was excellent. Now 20 years on and spending another holiday in the area with our parents for a family celebration, my family decided to eat here once more, we were not disappointed! We tried... More
