Nice, easy to find place to eat good quality food. Suitable for all the family. We decide to book and it was prabably a good idea, as it got quite busy whilst we were eating. perhaps had something to do with the Rugby on the large TVs (in a separate area to the restaurant). Good stuff

We had my daughters wedding breakfast here for 24 guests in the private function room. The room, table layouts and flowers were all beautiful. We pre ordered our meals and wine from the main menu and the food was astonishing. All of the guests commented on the quality and presentation of the food served. The service was outstanding with all... More

An excellent place for either a drink or meal (food served all day). This pub/restaurant is warm, welcoming and lively with a good range of reasonably priced drinks and an extensive menu: when we visited, one of the specials was turbot which was really lovely. Everything we ordered was good and the portions were substantial although it wouldn't qualify as... More

I visited The Old Farmhouse today and ordered the veggie burger. Definitely avoid! It was horrible, an overly processed meat-like frozen burger. A previous review has also commented on this burger being disgusting and it would seem no improvements have been made.

We have been here several times in the past and always loved it. Decided to come for our belated Valentines meal and were really disappointed considering we chose to come here over many other great places in Ulverston. Every time we have been the menu has been different which is understandable, however this time the choice was very limited and... More

Was in the Lake District for 3 nights and we are here every night! Amazing food, great staff, and a good price! Highly recommend the pie and chips, however the fish and chips, or Sunday roasts are also good. The best find was the mussels starter. It's a HUGE bowl, like a meal in itself and absolutely beautiful.

Called in yesterday late afternoon for their 2 courses for £9.50 special offer. There was a good choice of starters, mains and puddings on this deal. We opted for main course and pudding. These comprised of bacon wrapped smothered chicken and gammon as mains and apple cinnamon crumble and ice cream for sweets. The crumble was a little more like... More

A Beautiful farm barn conversation on the edge of the National Park serving great British pub food. locally sourced and home made always served along with seasonal specials. A large 80 seater bar area with real log fire or a tastefully decorated restaurant for more cosy dining there's even a function suite available too. Just on the coast road towards Bardsea.
