Called in for lunch after a walk around the village of Shap. Found this delightful, friendly, family run business where all the food was prepared on site along with good coffee!

Found on Tripadvisor, in search of somewhere for breakfast. Highly praised by other reviewers and the superlatives are justified - oh boy the bacon, sausage and black pudding were incredibly good; all, apparently, locally sourced. Breakfast served up piping hot, definitely one of the best.
A little expensive but very good quality. The only reason for 4* and not 5* is that no-one said goodbye to us as we left!! It just seemed a little rude as the staff just seemed to watch as we left.
