We went to the Red Lion as it dog friendly - we had a very warm welcome from the couple who manage the pub . They are only fill in's as it seems there had been changes in the management over the last 12 months...More

Went here for a spot of lunch and we had the award winning steak and ale pies. They were amazing and I can see why they are award winning. Full of tasty steak that was so tender and pastry that melted in your mouth. Absolutely...More

Many thanks for your review, so glad to hear you enjoyed our award winning pies. Sadly due to Red lion staff being on Holiday then staff are being borrowed from another pub in our small chain. It is regrettable we had to close one and...More

Ate here with a group of friends whilst on a week's walking holiday. Nothing fancy just simple honest pub grub. Decent sized portions, in fact some of the group could not finish. A good local that serves adequate food.

Lovely, cosy traditional pub in a quiet little village. Good ales, a proper old fashioned pub. Large out door seating area looked fun for the summer.

Very disappointing. The pub wasn't clean, under-staffed perhaps although it wasn't busy. Got the impression it was running on a shoe-string. Food was low-standard pub-grub. Beer OK. Not inclined to return even if there are very few alternatives within walking distance.
