Visited twice on 24th and 28th June, 2016. Food, Real Ale, Service, Value and Ambience absolutely superb, with nothing being too much trouble ( one of my Daughters has a cheese allergy) Well worth a visit, Booking advised as it quite busy.

Broughton isn't very big so there's not a huge restaurant choice, so we were very relieved to find that The Black Cock Inn was perfectly good. I was pleased to see a few more interesting vegetarian options, as often I’m limited to the ubiquitous mushroom risotto. We dined here twice so had four different veggie options in total. The only... At £20 a head for 3 courses this is a real bargain, none of my friends or I could manage 3 courses, lovely food and great presentation, this is my third visit.

Called here on the spur of the moment. Good menu choice, food freshly prepared and very good. Mentioned one of our group was celebrating his 90th Birthday, his sweet arrived with candle and the number 90 in chocolate sauce on the plate. A really nice gesture, which gave us all a nice surprise. Great value for money.
