We went to celebrate a family birthday as large party (17 adults & 2 children)with two young children. Staff were great even managing to seat a further two people as organiser had miscounted. Nice part was that staff catered for children in advance of others and then kept coming back to help entertain them as they finished their respective meals.... More

Ten of the Old Codgers revisited the Badger. We were not disappointed. As usual the welcome was friendly and the surroundings pleasant. The village of Church Minshull is quite small yet the restaurant soon filled up. With an excellent menu of superb dishes this is hardly surprising. Obviously the nearby towns of Crewe, Nantwich and Winsford are attracted to the... More

Eat here 3 times during the summer, not had a bad meal yet. Food is good value especially the Sunday lunch. Drinks are also very competitively priced which makes for a nice change. The dining room is lovely but some of the tables for two are a little restricted. The only slight criticism is that the staff whilst friendly aren't... More

Visited while on the Shropshire canal. A short walk down across the River Weaver. The food and ales at the Badger are excellent (Titanic Plum Porter). Service was good even on a busy Saturday evening. Will return on our way back from Middlewich.

A great atmosphere good beers and good food with a wide choice on the menu. The bar was friendly and had modern touches that made you want to stay. Plenty of room and good seating. Well worth a visit.

Brought a couple of friends with us this time. Slightly less than brilliant, can't give you top marks, sorry. Wine ordered , took aaaages to arrive. Had to prompt, in the end it arrived just after the food arrived. We would normally have 2 bottles but only one this time due to delay. Food ok. Steak with blue cheese salad.... More

Have been a few times to eat here, and to be fair, it has always been spot on (why we return). However dinner last week was a big disappointment, we arrived to eat, it was very quiet. The service was dreadful, with an unacceptable wait for our food. Fish and chips was ordered with fries (not fat chips as requested,... More

Great food friendly staff were able to accommodate 6 of us at very short notice, there seemed to be a lack of staff to clear plates but apart from that the food was good the meals were tasty an reasonably priced we all had 3 courses from the Sunday menu which was £16.95. The only negative I would give is... More

Had a lovely dinner for 2 on Saturday evening. Shared a Delicious, we then had 1 steak and 1 fish pie both excellent. Great service and very helpful staff. Glad we booked as very popular. Some good guest ales and lovely wine
