We booked a table for 8pm and arrived just before. The table was 'not available' and we had to wait. This was interesting because the table next to the one we were allocated was available when we arrived and remained so for over half an hour when we were eventually seated. Service was slow and we had to flag down... More

We had an impromptu evening out here, the weather was great, so we went out for a drink, good car park, nice place inside, pleasant staff, we didn't have a meal but the food did look good and we would certainly not be put off eating in here, worth a visit, give it a try.

I don't understand. There are loads of decent food pubs in this area e.g. Fox and Hounds (Sproston) or Bear's Paw (Warmingham) to name but two. So you need to do something to set yourself apart: such as decent service. I'm quite happy to go and get my own drinks from the bar, but not in the middle of my... More

My sister and her family had been to The badger before and because we were all going to be in the area, she booked us all in for late Sunday lunch. It was a perfect summer day, the garden was looking glorious and the food - OUTSTANDING. We all had 3 courses, great service . lovely "ambiance" in the restaurant... More

I really like The Badger. Good food and service. Has a tendency to be overpriced I think but the surroundings make up for it. Slightly disappointed in the portion size of the crispy belly pork I had - it was more like a 'starter' size than a main. I couldn't fault the taste and presentation, there just wasn't enough of... We came here for lunch one day, our first visit in a long time. The menu was a little short but with a good variety of foods. And the quality was excellent. The choice of beers also looked pretty good, shame I was diving.

Food was nice, menu was limited but there was something for me to choose from even if a bit over priced service was ok and the surroundings were nice.

Beautiful cosy pub in a very picturesque village, staff friendly and attentive. The sharing mezze was perfect for a late lunch. Would love to return for dinner sometime.

My friend and I went to the Badger for a lunchtime meal, we'd eaten there before and had enjoyed the food. I ordered the fish and chips, when it arrived I put my fork into the dark greasy looking batter and a thick brown grease oozed out all over the chips. I removed the batter hoping to just eat the...
