Friendly staff, warm welcome, atmospheric surroundings. Superb outside beer and food garden and a good but limited menu.

Lovely food. Really nice local ale. Very friendly and helpful staff. Two of us visited one night and we brought more friends and family back the next night. Good for the kids too.

Lovely refurbished pub. Great to sit outside and the bells from the church next door were so beautiful. Great menu too. Pop in often as we pass this way a lot.

We booked a table for 8pm and arrived just before. The table was 'not available' and we had to wait. This was interesting because the table next to the one we were allocated was available when we arrived and remained so for over half an hour when we were eventually seated. Service was slow and we had to flag down... More

Dear Grahem Many thanks for the more than fair 2 stars, I would also be disappointed with the wait and the service you received. If you would be good enough to let me know the date then I would like to look into this further. As you can read from other reviews this is not our normal service standard and... More

We had an impromptu evening out here, the weather was great, so we went out for a drink, good car park, nice place inside, pleasant staff, we didn't have a meal but the food did look good and we would certainly not be put off eating in here, worth a visit, give it a try.

I don't understand. There are loads of decent food pubs in this area e.g. Fox and Hounds (Sproston) or Bear's Paw (Warmingham) to name but two. So you need to do something to set yourself apart: such as decent service. I'm quite happy to go and get my own drinks from the bar, but not in the middle of my... More

Dear Duncampin I was very disappointed to read of your experience at the Badger Inn. This is not our normal service standard as you can read from other reviews. Were we short staffed on this occasion which the blame would lie with me. We normally take all drink orders at the table and food orders, were you outside in the... More

My sister and her family had been to The badger before and because we were all going to be in the area, she booked us all in for late Sunday lunch. It was a perfect summer day, the garden was looking glorious and the food - OUTSTANDING. We all had 3 courses, great service . lovely "ambiance" in the restaurant... More

I really like The Badger. Good food and service. Has a tendency to be overpriced I think but the surroundings make up for it. Slightly disappointed in the portion size of the crispy belly pork I had - it was more like a 'starter' size than a main. I couldn't fault the taste and presentation, there just wasn't enough of... We came here for lunch one day, our first visit in a long time. The menu was a little short but with a good variety of foods. And the quality was excellent. The choice of beers also looked pretty good, shame I was diving.
