Pub/restaurant by the canal and popular with boaters. There's a long menu with a wide range of food and good beer too. It's a friendly sort of place, the service was efficient and it was good value for money.

Whilst on a canal boat holiday we visited for lunch with family. The pub was clean, had creat decor, friendly staff and it was dog and child friendly. The menu had plenty of options including a lunch time deal. The food was delicious. The only down side was the Eton mess which was very small with only a tiny amount... More

For a decade I've loved going there for its innovative and well executed menu. Now ( with the notable exception of the black pudding and egg dish) it's a menu you can find anywhere. When everyone else is raising their game, why has the Dusty Miller become so terribly boring. Come on guys, you can, and have done so much... More

Visited here on our journey along the Llangollen canal. Very convenient for canal as on the bank! Service was very friendly and quick without being rushed. Food was very good - I had the steak and ale pie which was very good indeed. Partner had fish pie which, I was told, was also very good. Would recommend

The Pub is beautiful and clean inside, the food excellent. Situated directly by the Canal, easy mooring just after the Lift Bridge.

Visited on a Saturday lunch time and found the location breath taking. The staff were efficient, friendly and welcoming. A good menu choice not to large but sufficiently varied to make choosing difficult. The pate and black pudding starter were delicious and very nicely presented. For mains we had 2 of the signature pies, a salad and steak all were... More

We arrived on the off chance and we weren't disappointed. The bar area is spacious, were we could sit with our dog. There was a fantastic choice on the menu. We opted for pate and then my husband had the fish sharing board, which included whitebait, smoked salmon & prawns and I had the Farmers board, which is an enhanced ploughman's. Both were excellent....
