The staff were very attentive and made sure we were well looked after. We were a large party but all the meals came together and were very delicious.

I booked this lunch several weeks ago and paid a deposit. I hadn’t been told to book the Christmas menu only to reserve the table, even though I spoke and e mailed several times. So on arrival was given the normal menu which was disappointing...from a Christmas point of view. However, this was resolved thankfully. The meal was really lovely. Tasty. Very tender turkey and perfect roast potatoes. There was a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts or cheeseboard. Pleasant service. Good value.More

Originally we had booked the Court House in Knutsford, their Sister hotel, unfortunately they cancelled about 2 weeks before saying it wasn't ready and would we like to stop in the Vicarage. Booked in at reception ok and shown room. Room a good size and...just a bit tired. TV wouldn't work, reception said just wiggle it around, still didn't work, told them it was the batteries, but told to wiggle, gave up on that. Lights in bathroom under mirror not working. Also no coat hangers in wardrobe, reception finally gave us 4. Food was good at breakfast. Staff all very good. Overall ok but just a bit disappointing, was there for a family wedding and thought they could have let us know about the Courthouse earlier and gave us a chance to look around for something of a similar quality. Also had to chase them for confirmation of the new booking.More

Wonderful last minute overnighted here Saturday night. Check in was easy and the room was spotless, lovely walk in power shower too. But the restaurant that night really was exceptional. Very trendy set with live music all night which was great in the back ground,...very busy which is always a good sign, lots of staff who were all incredibly friendly and the number of staff made for quick drinks and super service. But the food was absolutely spot on, starters, mains and the dessert was top notch, exceptional. We got up next morning and couldn’t wait too see if the food quality went to breakfast too………and it did. Belting stop over, great service and exceptional food. Highly recommendedMore

The place looks absolutely great - funky, modern, boutique gastro pub feel. The outdoor areas are great. Food is EXCEPTIONAL. The Sunday lunch is mind blowing. Great wine selection and the staff are brilliant.

I am pretty picky about my Sunday lunch. There’s lots of great places that serve a good Sunday lunch and I make a great one myself but The Vicarage beats them all hands down. Perfect portion size, every detail is cooked to perfection. The staff...are fantastic- extremely genuine and attentive (special shout out to Sam, who’s wonderful:)) It’s definitely worth a trip out to Holmes Chapel for a bite to eat here!More

We visited here for Sunday dinner, we had a starter of the soup each which was deciduous and then we had our roast .. everything was lovely apart from the roastys which were very hard and difficult to even get a knife through. We would...visit again tho as everything else was lovely and the service was great,More

I came her twice in September. Some of the food is great, really tasty and then some is disappointing like the portion sizes. If you want to give out a small portion of soup do not put it in a large bowl where the level...is less than half. 6 spoon fulls and it was gone. The garlic bread looks and tastes like it’s from Tesco. Small portion of Halloumi to complete the poor starters. Then the mains were delicious. My second visit was with a friend and we skipped starters because they were so poor the previous times and again the mains were bang on. The Sunday roasts look amazing and I will be coming back to try because I’m local and like to support local. Please do something about your starters and it would be a 4 maybe 5. Staff are really good, no problems there and love the old world cosy feel although there was a draft coming from the back door.More

Visited during a very busy evening for food with family. Staff member greeted us and led us to an outside table, the pub was extremely busy so opted for outdoor seating. I've visited this pub prior with friends, food was excellent, we played monopoly whilst...enjoying a relaxing wind down after work. So I'd recommended we'd go there for a family member's birthday. Many pub food is not up to par, over salted, less refined home cooking and sometimes less nutritious than what you can cook at home. Yet the food here is well thought through. For a treat for family you want to take them to a place where they will eat well, and everyone enjoys themselves. The music in this venue is varied and upbeat and won't please everyone, yet I loved it. Family loved their food, drinks and the relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!More
